For the rest of that day and most of the next, Felicia worked tirelessly, and with every hour that passed, it seemed like she was getting closer and closer to finding a solution.
Sebastian remained with Felicia in the lab, and while he had tried to stay awake, he had slowly started to nod off in one of the lab chairs.
It was nearing midnight the following evening when Felicia jumped up and let out a scream, which caused Sebastian to leap up out of his seat and pull out his gun. “What is it?! What’s wrong?!”
“I did it!”
“Did what?!”
“I found the cure!”
Sebastian’s jaw dropped. “Are you shitting me?” He asked as he put his gun away.
“No, I think that I did it! I mean, I need to make sure, but in order to do that, I would need a lab that has more equipment, one that’s like mine.”
“You mean the one that went up in flames?”
Felicia rolled her eyes, thinking for a moment. “How much of the building was destroyed?”
