No one knows how it started. Domestic animals began to go wild, reverting to their primal states and lashing out at their owners. Felicia Owens, CDC scientist in Los Angeles, was attacked out of the blue by her cat. Now, Felicia is fighting bouts of irritability, anger, and outright primal rage. When others begin acting in a similar way, Felicia realizes that she needs to figure out what’s going on and how to cure it before it’s too late. Maybe it already is.

Primal Instincts

Felicia had immediately pounced on Sebastian. “And you didn’t think that it was something I needed to know?!” 


“You had enough shit on your plate!” Sebastian snapped back at her. “You were trying to find a cure, and you were literally decaying away! I was afraid that if you had any additional stress, it would shorten the time you had left!” 


“That wasn’t your decision to make! I could have died thinking that my friends were perfectly safe when it was the exact opposite!” 


“I swear, I was going to tell you once I was sure that you were getting better-” 


“That isn’t the damn point!” Felicia was so angry that her face was red. “The point is that you kept something from me that I should have known about! What else have you been hiding from me?!” 


“Well, forgive me if I don’t believe you.” Felicia scoffed, rolling her eyes. “Kirk, do you and Eddie mind dropping me off at my mom’s on your way home?”
