Chapter Ninety-one [ The farmers' lifestyle ]
David parked the cars in the next, safer, drier section of the farm and covered them with a tent to keep out rust and other detritus.
David's questions about the young pair's delays remain fresh in Daniele's thoughts.
"They may come from my parents' land as well, but not quite yet,"
A young couple approaches her and smiles abruptly as she responds.
"Hello, Aunt Danielle. We are twins. My name is Carl, and hers is Carla."
Carl smilingly mentions as Carla nods in agreement. As the twins continue, Danielle turns to David in surprise but excitement to tell him about them.
"We are your sister Julie's younger farm children."
“I never recognize them, honey. “ She turned to the twins and muttered.
"How could you remember me as your auntie after I left the farm and you weren't even a human?" Danielle politely asks them.
When Carla explained, David burst out laughing.
