Elmer chuckled. If Sophie ever found out that he was actually the Blackwing Hero, she would probably be very disappointed. Admiration worked that way sometimes. When a famous celebrity lived next door to you, you wouldn't think they were all that great. Only the ones who were out of reach, constantly on TV and in the newspapers, could truly inspire admiration. Take, for example, the singer Dao Lang when he first debuted. He never showed his true face, only letting people hear his voice, and he became incredibly popular. But when he finally revealed himself, most of his fans were disappointed, especially the girls who had fantasies about him.

"Do you see anything?" Sophie asked.
