Good Things Come to Those Who Wait

After ViolaAlma left, Elmer and Julia surprisingly remained silent, walking side by side in perfect harmony. After a while, they found themselves standing in front of a rice paddy.

"Ribbit!"

A startled frog leaped into the paddy and swam to the other side.

"When I was young, I used to catch frogs. They are mischievous and slippery. If you don't hold them tightly, they'll slip away. I even went into the fields to catch loaches using a specially made pair of tongs," Julia chuckled.

"Are you planning to settle down in the countryside, Auntie?" Elmer asked.

"I don't know. I'll decide that when I find my other half. I'll have to ask him too. After all, many things are not for women to decide; the decision-making power lies with men," Julia turned to face Elmer, reached out and touched his cheek, asking, "Why did you make a move on me?"

"It's a primal desire. Because you, Auntie, are so enchanting," Elmer replied bluntly.
