Chapter nineteen

Jimi was sited at the rocky chair in his study, he was looking particularly at his old picture in his studio. It was his family picture, it was the last family painting that he did at Timi's birthday ceremony.

"sweet old days" the painting remained him of the past when Timi was still the good boy he use to be.

Looking at the painting, he remembered vividly every laugh, fight and cry they had together. Too bad good things don't last long.

How did he turn this way? Was a question Jimi asked himself.

Back then Timi use to be a very carefree boy that always surrounded himself with a circle of friends but his academic performance was poor.

Having a father who always believe in perfection and could not condone his poor academic performance, comparing him with his younger brother Jimi who is always bright at school. It was a big turn-on for Timi.

He was later introduced to a particular drug called Ritalin during his senior secondary day.

"Ritalin", was very common among senior boys. It was said to be the key to a successful exam. "try some and you will see the result" that were the words of his friends who thought they were helping him.

After the first attempt, Timi did very well in his exams and was celebrated by his father who got him a car despite being underage.

Of course, he was ready to spend on any of his children that bring joy to his heart.

Ajayi's family has a law no one dares to reel the family reputation or you face the consequences.

Since it work for Timi, he was it as an exam tool. After reading, he takes it before entering the examination hall.

Some months later things were getting worst, it seems to Timi like he can't do without taking Ritalin. Dad has traveled to the state and he has run out of cash knowing that the money given to him was for a month and he can't get another until next month, Timi decided to sell some of his stuff to buy the pill.

After some months he sold his car and lied it was stolen.

He was later caught in the act and was Immediately expired from school.

Of course, he will be dead meat if his father finds out he has expired from school but thank his stepmother who pleaded with him on his behalf. Timi was an illegitimate child born to his father by a street girl called Eve. They never had a relationship he was just a victim of one night stand with her. He had sex with her due to the influence of alcohol. after the death of his father, he was unable to recover from he woke up one morning and find himself in a hotel with a strange lady who called herself Eve.

He had paid her a lot of money to keep her shut but after discovering that she was carrying his baby, he decided to take the child and end it all with her luckily his wife who was pregnant at that time welcome the baby and raised him like her own. Timi was the first child of his father and was four years older than Jimi but was just six months older than Titi Jimi's elder sister.
