Nothing to Worry

Dahlia sighed as she looked over her mother's sleeping form. Despite everything that had happened between them, she couldn't help but still feel bad for her. There was just too much going on right now, and she didn't want to lose the remaining family she had left after all this time.

"You can't leave me, Mother," Dahlia called out to her as she caressed her mother's cheek. "I know you only did it out of love, and I'm sure you can turn things around."

Looking out the window, Dahlia let out another sigh as she stared up at the moon above. It was almost time for her to leave, unfortunately, with the healers telling her that it wasn't going to do much even if she stayed for nights on end. And besides, she still had Zoran to look after, even if he was still unconscious.

"I'll be going then, Mother," she faintly smiled as she stood up. "I hope you wake up soon, and I-"

"D-Dahlia?"
