More of Her Warmth

The Queen Mother finally dismissed Dani and Abel after a few more discussions about certain things. All the while, Abel's grip on Dani's hand remained. Surprisingly, she didn't say a thing or even throw him a glare, so he smiled in satisfaction as they walked while holding hands.

"I'm sorry," Dani suddenly murmured.

Blinking, Abel turned to face her, his brows furrowed as he asked, "Huh?"

"I didn't know anything," she mumbled as she stared at the ground. "I even brought up your past."

Abel creased his forehead, but a playful smile soon carved itself onto his lips as he moved his hand to hold her chin and tilt it up so that Dani would face him.

"Hmm… If only I knew you'd be kinder like this," he chuckled. "I should've told you the tragic story of my past earlier."
