After a week of struggling our way through the wilderness, or in Skarras' case, jumping from tree branch to tree branch, today we finally reached 'Bluestone'. Call me yokel, but I have never seen so many people in such a small space. Here, no one lives in buildings made of wood, only stone. Despite arriving at night the streets are full of people. Most of them seem to be either ogre or human but I also spotted a highling and a gang of gnarls. The latter looked like someone mixed a lizard with a squirrel and as compensation for screwing up this person also gave them sharp, orc-like teeth. At least they look cute, but as far as I heard they love stealing junk and selling it back to their owners, so my opinion of them is kinda mixed.
The city gets its name from the river 'Emse' she is built upon. The river is unnaturally blue to the point that even though it's quite shallow, you can't see the ground.
Also Skarra told me that 'Bluestone' isn't big enough to be considered a "real" town. I can't even imagine what wonders she must've seen to be this knowledgeable about the world. Just thinking about it refuels my excitement for this journey. Admittedly I was pretty down the past few days. I've met such nice people just to see them slaughtered. Talking to Skarra helped a bit there. She can be quite nice if she isn't annoyed. Her presence over all was a huge improvement on my journey. She knows what direction to go, what mushrooms and leafs to eat and when to sleep. Even the way she moves is amazing. I swear I saw her jump off a FALLING LEAF once, like she was made out of wind.
I owe Skarra a lot. I am even considering telling her about the second item in my possession.
Now that we've reached the city, we'll probably split up. My main problem is after what happened with the caravan my plan got cut short with me neither reaching Yoten nor earning any money to spend on food or housing. Man, I really hope I don't have to go back to eating mushrooms, they are chewy and tasted like dirt.
