Hearing Belle, Adam, and Greg were most shocked. This meant their thoughts were totally off and was the only thing on their minds.
"A herd?" Chloe asked, alarmed.
"Yeah, if sixteen can be classified as a herd, then sure, a herd," Belle said. "We can't face them head-on. Shanty town spatial zone is classified as a catalyst-level spatial zone. A lot of catalyst levels might mix in with mortal rank," Adam said, snapping back and thinking fast.
"They are pretty close already," Belle said as he looked around, only to notice they were just surrounded by ruins.
"Are you thinking of finding a high ground?" Greg asked, seeing Belle's actions.
"Dealing with intelligent people saves you a lot of explaining," Belle thought to himself before nodding to Greg.
"There is none in shanty town. The whole town was leveled down to only ruins," Greg said. "To survive, we should really share what our powers can do," Ellaine said seriously.
Belle stood, his eyes scanning the horizon as the herd of rampaging rhinoceroses approached. "Can I do it without mistake?" Belle thought to himself. He had a thought of using his terrakinesis power, but he was just afraid things could go wrong. "What if I end up burying everybody? Or what if instead of creating a high ground, I turn up creating spikes?" Belle thought to himself, as he was caught falling back to his trauma. He didn't want to mistakenly kill again. "I should try. Yeah, I have to live great," Belle thought as he actually tried concentrating to use his Terrakinesis power. It was actually the first time he was using it. Picturing a boulder rising out from the ruin and willing his power, Belle noticed himself, with the others, slowly lifting. "I am actually doing it right with my first try," Belle was about to get overly excited but still tried enough to keep his emotions in check.
"Who is doing that?" Ellaine asked.
"If the person doing that wants to keep themselves secret, it shouldn't matter. They have at least created a terrain advantage for us," Greg said, trying to immediately subdue anything that might cause others to be wary of using their powers.
"It is really a herd," Chloe said. With the high ground, they could see the rhinos and some other examinees around them.
"How are we going to survive that?" Greg said, as he sucked in a cold breath. As the herd grew closer, Belle could see the fear in the eyes of his comrades. They were just teenagers, not seasoned fighters, and the prospect of facing these monstrous creatures was terrifying. Bang! The first rhino finally crashed into the bottom of the big boulder Belle had created.
"We can't stay here forever, right?" Chloe asked, seeing more rhinos charging toward the boulder.
"The academy will do something. I'm just afraid the body might not even be able to withstand the full rhino for us to stay on it before the academy does something," Greg said.
"Why do all the rhinos seem to be attacking my brother's side?" Elizabeth said with a smile that actually looked a bit different from her normal jovial smile. Not that she thought Belle would get hurt, but she thought the academy had some secret plans due to Belle showing up on the second stage of the exam.
Hearing her say that on the outside, a lot of people actually looked at the academy representatives too. They had been watching and had noticed that every rhino was moving towards Belle and the rest with frenzy.
"The academy has everything under control," the academy representatives, who couldn't even explain this phenomenon, just said.
"I really hope they do," the priest said with a bright smile. One of their brightest prospects was with Belle.
Actually, Belle had been the reason why the rhinoceros went rampage. Spatial monsters, even though seemingly different from mutated beasts and normal beasts, were not too different. When he had entered the spatial zone, the rhinoceros, to put it right, had felt another monster encroaching on their territory due to the connection they shared with the spatial zone.
Bang! Bang! The rhinos continued attacking the boulder with their horns. Sure enough, they would have climbed up if the boulder hadn't been steep.
"Why do more rhinos keep coming our way?" Adam said. He had noticed that all the rhinos rushing out to the outer part of the town seemed hell-bent on attacking them.
"I am thinking one of us has the power of being and making people around them unlucky," Ellaine said with a smile. Hearing them talk, Belle was totally less interested. His eyes looked ahead of him, A smirk slowly formed on Belle's face, for some unknown reason to him. He felt a lot of disdain towards the rhino monsters, as if something inside of him was trying to prove his superiority over them.
"Trash," Belle said, spitting in disgust. The rest of the squad turned their attention to him, assuming he was referring to them. However, Belle was actually directing his disdain towards the rhinos.
"Everybody jump!" Belle commanded as he leaped from the boulder, heading straight down. He had noticed a presence from afar rushing towards them, which only increased his disdain.
Though the rest of the squad didn't understand why Belle wanted them to jump, they followed his lead. It seemed safer to be on the move than to remain stationary.
Boom! The boulder was destroyed from the inside as three massive rhinos burst out of it. If any of the squad members had wasted even a moment, they would have suffered grave injuries if they had manage to survive the attack.
"you won't tell me there academy still have things in control, will you? The priest said as he stood up turning into a beam of light and leaving even before the answers, to him Adam was really valuable, the religious group in this district hasn't gotten someon like him for some time.
