"Hmm, you've truly caught me off guard, System," Jiryoku remarked, his voice reflecting a hint of surprise.

In the subsequent moments, it was as if a dormant mechanism had been triggered within Jiryoku's body. Though no visible alterations manifested externally, he keenly felt an internal metamorphosis taking place.

Jiryoku surrendered to the transformative experience for a brief period. Emerging from this internal recalibration, he now possessed an innate sense that he could assume the form of a devil at any given moment. This ability transcended the conventional process of gathering natural energy and executing a transformation; instead, it felt instinctual and effortless. It was as though he could seamlessly transition from his existing form to the formidable Devil Mode with unparalleled ease, akin to the effortless act of switching between different states of being.

Without a moment's hesitation, Jiryoku swiftly transitioned into 'Devil Mode.' In this transformative state, his signature black hair seamlessly turned into a resplendent shade of white, while two imposing black horns emerged on each end of his forehead. His eyes underwent a striking transformation, shifting to an intense black with pupils of a captivating golden hue. His once ordinary nails assumed an alluring pure black color, and two magnificent bat-like wings gracefully unfurled on his back. While Jiryoku was already considered handsome in his normal form, the infusion of his devilish charm in 'Devil Mode' rendered him even more irresistibly attractive.

In addition to the aesthetic enhancements, Jiryoku keenly sensed a substantial augmentation in the defensive capabilities of his body. Eager to put this newfound strength to the test, he unsheathed his sword and, with a measured force, directed a strike towards his own hand. To his astonishment, the defense of his hand proved to be remarkably robust, as the sword left no visible mark, underscoring the formidable resilience bestowed upon him by 'Devil Mode.'

Jiryoku's smile widened after executing the powerful swing, a display of strength potent enough to cleave a Jonin-level ninja in half. Yet, he recognized that this was just the initial demonstration. Contemplating the augmentation of his defense through the application of 'Armament Haki,' he envisioned a heightened level of invincibility.

Returning to his normal form, Jiryoku gracefully made his way back to the Jokan mansion. Upon arrival, Jokan relayed the news that he had been bestowed with a new moniker—'Meteor Demon.' Rather than dwelling on this information, Jiryoku nonchalantly shook his head, choosing not to concern himself with such trivial matters. He understood that those at the lower rungs of society often expressed their frustrations through inconsequential means.

Maintaining his unwavering determination, Jiryoku brushed off the moniker, fully aware that if he single-handedly triumphed over and defeated Kaguya, he would ascend to the status of a world-renowned hero. In this scenario, the once-prominent label of 'Meteor Demon' would fade into obscurity, a mere whisper in the echoes of his greater accomplishments.

Time continued its relentless march forward, reaching six months later. Somewhere in the Fire Country, Asuma found himself kneeling on the ground, blood staining the earth beneath him. Before him stood a man cloaked in black, positioned on a red circle pattern that hinted at some ominous ritual. A black rod was ominously embedded in the man's chest.

"Asuma-Sensei!" shouted Shikamaru, rushing towards Asuma. Meanwhile, Kakuzu decisively defeated the other two ninjas accompanying Asuma's team. As Kakuzu and Hidan prepared to press on and eliminate the remaining Konoha ninjas, two more shinobi from Konoha intervened. After an extended battle, Kakuzu and Hidan, choosing not to prolong the fight, retreated from the scene.

"Ino, look, his heartbeat is still there. Maybe we can still save him," Shikamaru urged Ino.

In agreement, Ino nodded and promptly initiated the 'Mystical Palm Technique,' striving to sustain Asuma's heartbeat and prevent his untimely demise.

Asuma, in a weakened voice, murmured, "You know, and I know, that I don't have much time left. Just let it go."

Amidst Ino's tear-filled eyes, she persisted in her efforts to heal Asuma, utilizing the 'Mystical Palm Technique.' Despite Asuma feeling helpless after conveying his sentiments, he recognized that Ino would not relent in her commitment to his well-being.

"Choji, consider adopting a healthier diet," advised Asuma, concern evident in his voice.

Shifting his focus to Ino, Asuma expressed, "You take care of these two, and I sincerely wish for you and Jiryoku to lead a happy life."

Ino nodded solemnly, signifying her understanding. Asuma then directed his gaze toward Shikamaru, imparting, "Shikamaru, you possess unparalleled intelligence among us. In the wake of my departure, you shall assume the leadership of this team." Following this, Asuma delved into his interpretation of the Will of Fire, leaving behind words of guidance.

"And as a final plea, I have one request for each of you. Please, take care of Kurenai and my unborn child," Asuma implored, his voice resonating with sincerity. With these poignant words, Asuma closed his eyes, marking the closure of his earthly journey.
