Nagato employed the Summoning Technique to summon all six 'Paths of Pain'. Three of the 'Paths of Pain' had been destroyed, while three remained intact.

----

Kisame, Deidara, and Team Taka, who were fighting the 'Paths of Pain', were shocked to witness the 'Paths of Pain' disappearing.

----

As soon as Obito witnessed the summoning of the 'Paths of Pain', he exclaimed in shock, "Damn it! How could I forget that Nagato himself can also utilize all the abilities of the 'Paths of Pain'?"

Obito felt frustrated knowing that he had overlooked such a crucial detail during his calculations.

"But at least one thing is favorable: three of the 'Paths of Pain' have been destroyed. All I need to do now is to prevent Nagato from repairing the remaining ones," thought Obito.

How could Nagato not have considered this? Nagato also realized that the process of repairing the destroyed 'Paths of Pain' would take time. Thus, he instructed Konan, "Konan, please hold him off for a few minutes."

Konan nodded, understanding Nagato's intentions. She reassured him, saying, "Don't worry about Obito. I will keep him occupied while you repair the 'Paths of Pain'." With determination, Konan transformed into her angelic form and swiftly flew towards Obito. Surrounding her were numerous small papers as sharp as blades, which she directed to attack Obito. Obito, anticipating the assault, utilized Kamui to become intangible.

As Konan relentlessly closed in on him, Obito secretly thought, "Come closer, come closer." When Konan approached near enough, Obito activated Kamui, attempting to draw Konan into the Kamui dimension. However, in his rush for victory, Obito made a critical error that Konan had accurately anticipated and exploited.

Konan knew that once she approached Obito, he would use his Kamui to suck her into his Kamui space, as she had experienced this before (during Asura vs. Jiryoku). It was a known fact that whenever Obito used Kamui to enter the Kamui space, he became tangible.

The papers flying around Konan weren't ordinary; they were paper bombs. Konan controlled these paper bombs and attached them to Obito's body.

"Paper bombs!" exclaimed Obito in shock. At that moment, he realized that he had been outmanoeuvred. As the paper bombs exploded, Konan, who had been on the verge of being sucked into the Kamui space, was freed.

Finally, the smoke cleared after the explosion of paper bombs, revealing Obito clearly. At that moment, Obito felt thoroughly embarrassed as one-fourth of the upper side of his mask was missing, and his face had turned black due to the paper bomb explosions.

"After all, you were chosen by me for Akatsuki. How could you be ordinary? I made a mistake by underestimating you," Obito admitted.

This period of time proved to be more than sufficient for Nagato to repair all the broken 'Paths of Pain'. Eventually, all the 'Paths of Pain' were fully revived.

Nagato also joined the battle, and all the 'Paths of Pain' attacked Obito. Nagato had only one goal: to keep Obito in an intangible form for 5 minutes and then kill him.

The 'Deva Path' initiated the assault by using 'Universal Pull' to attract Obito towards him, while the 'Asura Path' fired missiles in Obito's direction. In response, Obito released multiple sharp rods from his eyes towards the 'Paths of Pain', forcing them to evade the attack.

Konan, having recovered from the impact of the paper bomb blast, unleashed multiple paper shurikens towards Obito, compelling him to use Kamui to become intangible.

However, as soon as Obito entered his intangible state, all the 'Paths of Pain' surrounded him, ready to strike at any moment while maintaining a safe distance to avoid being sucked into the Kamui space. This safe distance had been calculated from the moment Obito attempted to suck Konan into the Kamui space, with Nagato carefully observing the battle.

However, Obito was not so weak as to be easily trapped. He solidified once again, and except for the 'Deva Path', all the 'Paths of Pain' attacked him. In response, Obito unleashed the 'Wood Release: Great Spear Tree'. Multiple roots emerged from underground, entangling and crushing all the 'Paths of Pain' except for the 'Preta Path'. The 'Preta Path' effortlessly absorbed all the roots coming its way, but due to its limited range, it couldn't protect the other 'Paths of Pain'.

Next, Obito utilized the 'Wood Release: Cutting Technique' towards Konan, who had launched a chakram in his direction using her jutsu, the 'Paper Chakram', to attack him. Eventually, the 'Paper Chakram' triumphed in this clash, reaching Obito after a slight delay. Obito defended himself with a rod against the 'Paper Chakram'. However, just as he defended, the 'Deva Path' executed the 'Almighty Push', forcing Obito to the ground and embedding him into it.

Obito utilized Kamui to free himself. At that moment, a head emerged from the tree beside him. It was none other than 'White Zetsu'.

"Now we are ready," 'White Zetsu' declared.

Obito nodded and, like a ghost, phased into the ground, disappearing from the location. As Konan and Nagato remained vigilant, prepared to strike the moment Obito reappeared, both adept at sensory techniques, they finally sensed Obito's arrival location. Obito emerged just behind Nagato from underground. However, as Nagato prepared to take action, his entire body stiffened, losing control, and seizing the opportunity, Obito gouged out both of Nagato's Rinnegan.
