"Should we retreat and bring back all the 'Edo Tensei' until we understand how Jiryoku's ability works?" questioned 'Black Zetsu', his brow furrowed in deep contemplation as he sought a solution to the pressing dilemma.
"No need," Obito asserted, his voice steady and resolute. "As Kabuto mentioned, Jiryoku isn't inclined to fight seriously. Therefore, we will cease our attacks on the Fire Country and focus solely on the war. We cannot afford to succumb to fear of Jiryoku and halt our offensive. With the battle already underway, we must continue to fight," he concluded, his tone carrying a sense of unwavering determination.
'Black Zetsu' nodded in agreement with Obito's decision, his expression reflecting a blend of understanding and solidarity.
Turning to Kabuto with a sense of urgency, Obito asked, "Do you recall any significant details that could shed light on how Jiryoku's ability works? Try to remember any minute details that may have escaped your notice," his gaze searching Kabuto's face for any hint of revelation.
After listening to Obito's question, Kabuto closed his eyes and began to recall all the events from the moment he resurrected the Seven Ninja Swordsman until their demise. He replayed the scenes in his mind repeatedly until he finally noticed a subtle change in Jiryoku's eyes just before he obliterated the 'Edo Tensei' Seven Ninja Swordsman. Prior to the destruction, a red translucent flower pattern emerged in his sky-blue eyes, disappearing immediately afterward.
Opening his eyes, Kabuto exclaimed, "Yes, I remember now. There was indeed a change in the pattern of Jiryoku's eyes before and after he destroyed the 'Edo Tensei'. His eyes returned to normal after the destruction."
"This means that what Jiryoku is using may be a kind of 'Dojutsu'," suggested Obito.
"But I don't think we have ever seen a record of such a 'Dojutsu'," countered 'Black Zetsu'.
"Just because we haven't seen it doesn't mean that such an ability has never existed in the more than 1000 years of ninja history. And even if such a 'Dojutsu' has never existed before, it exists now," reasoned Obito.
'Black Zetsu' pondered to himself, "I have lived for almost 1000 years. If I don't know of such a 'Dojutsu', then it likely never existed."
"Very well, let us refocus our efforts on the war. Until Jiryoku directly intervenes, it is best that we refrain from interfering as well," Obito declared, his tone authoritative yet pragmatic as he steered the conversation towards the pressing matters at hand.
Kabuto nodded and said, "I understand. I have no desire to witness my hard work being continuously destroyed."
Obito nodded in acknowledgment before vanishing from the location.
Before departing, 'Black Zetsu' addressed Kabuto, "Be prepared; we may need to resurrect Madara-sama at any time."
After receiving 'Black Zetsu's instruction, Kabuto nodded, and 'Black Zetsu' swiftly departed using the Mayfly technique.
----
After killing the 'Edo Tensei' ninja, Jiryoku departed from the Fire Country for the battlefield, as the time to fulfill his promise to Ino, Shikamaru, and Choji had arrived.
Jiryoku swiftly arrived at the headquarters of the battlefield, where Tsunade and the Raikage were stationed alongside Inoichi and Shikaku.
As Jiryoku neared the headquarters, the sensory ninjas who were on guard detected a presence of a person with a huge amount of chakra, even greater than that of a tailed beast, rapidly approaching their location. They immediately sounded the alarm.
Tsunade and the Raikage, alarmed by the warning, rose from their seats, prepared to leave the hall. However, at that moment, Jiryoku entered the headquarters and made his way directly to the hall where the Raikage and Tsunade were.
Having encountered Jiryoku on numerous occasions, Tsunade recognized the approaching individual and relaxed.
Observing Jiryoku's unexpected presence, the Raikage's brows furrowed in surprise, his eyes widening with curiosity. Meanwhile, Tsunade's expression lit up with a mix of astonishment and hope, her heart racing with anticipation at the prospect of Jiryoku joining the war effort.
Tsunade couldn't contain her excitement as she voiced the question burning in her mind, "Are you finally willing to join the war?"
"No, I didn't come here to join the war. I just came to ask my father-in-law where Ino and the others are," replied Jiryoku.
Jiryoku's response was unexpected, causing a shift in the atmosphere. The initial jubilation ebbed away, replaced by a palpable sense of disappointment. Jiryoku could sense their deflated spirits and sought to offer reassurance, "Do not worry. If you encounter any powerful enemy, then I will take action."
Though still tinged with disappointment, Tsunade and the Raikage found solace in Jiryoku's pledge, a flicker of relief crossing their faces.
Jiryoku then turned his gaze towards Shikaku, who understood his intention. Shikaku inquired of Inoichi, who promptly provided the exact location of where Shikamaru, Ino, and Choji were.
With his queries resolved, Jiryoku conjured a black hole, through which he departed the headquarters. As Jiryoku left, the Raikage calmed down all the ninjas who had been on high alert.
