"I will arrange for new bodyguards to be waiting for you, and your movements will need my approval," Shandra's father declared. 

The news hit her like a punch to the gut. She despised having her freedom restricted, but the thought of her every move being monitored and having bodyguards constantly shadowing her made her feel like a prisoner.
