You aren't supposed to be here

"I am Heaven Liu…"

Deep lines appeared between Leo's brows as he listened to Hera's confession. The corner of his mouth curled up as a look of ridicule flickered across his eyes. Seeing the initial expression that graced his face at her confession forced Hera to make a decision.

"... friend." She forced out a breath, nodding at him. "Heaven and I were friends."

"Heaven and you?" Leo furrowed his brows. "Why would she be friends with you?"

"She and I also have the same question," she quipped. "Hera—I mean, I lived a very different life from her, but somehow, we got along well," she explained, hiding the truth with a beautiful smile. "That's when I wasn't imprisoned in this place. That time I got all the freedom in the world. Call it fate, but we're friends."

Hera rocked her head, convinced she had devised a good excuse. "It's also the reason I know you. I was there when you and Heaven still had a thing. I saw you once, but from a distance."
