"Is that so?" Heaven bit her bottom lip as she lowered her head. "Alright. If you say you're okay, I trust you. I'd like to hear more details in person later."

She emphasized the last part, earning a hum from Dominic before ending the call. Knowing her husband had other matters to attend to, Heaven lingered briefly before forcing a smile and heading back to the garden table.

"Was that Dom?" Ria, seated nearby, asked.

"Yes," Heaven replied, taking her place at the table with her in-laws.

"Is he alright?" Lionel inquired curiously.

"He's fine." Heaven turned to her father-in-law. "He was on his last campaign on the border of Cake County. He mentioned everything went smoothly."
