You wouldn’t have known

[Zhu Villa]

Dominic hadn't had a wink of sleep, busy concocting his plans for the future. One of the things he was aware of was that whoever this person took an interest in him was not a simple person. A simple diversion or cheap tricks won't work. After all, Hera's tone was already a giveaway.

But that was just the start.

Being Hera's ally was easy, but being her enemy? Even if it was just a fake one, blood would still spill. He knew his wife very well, and he also knew she wasn't feared for nothing. There was a reason people tread on eggshells around her, and those she considered enemies never slept without their one eye open at night.

If Hera was wary of her enemies, that also meant her enemies were wary of her. It all boils down to who planned things better. This was no longer just a brawl, but it was also a battle of wits, strategy, and resources.

This was war.
