Unexpected Teleportation

I pushed Callie towards the tower entrance, and the two men followed behind us awkwardly. Or at least the whole situation seemed awkward in my mind. It was ridiculous, of course. It was none of Mat's business where I had spent the night or who I spent time with, yet I had to see him practically every day. His tank abilities were essential to our party.

I rubbed my head briefly as we stepped up to the teleportation circle, but instead of the white room I had grown so accustomed to seeing we were dropped in the middle of a dungeon. Had I become so complacent? I stared wide eyed at our surroundings.

"Kai?" Callie called next to me uncertain. No, I wasn't imagining things. We were literally dropped into a dungeon. Lush forest undergrowth flourished around us. Only everything seemed… much larger than usual. The trees surrounding us were much larger in scale than the usual trees we had become accustomed to.
