Chapter XVIII: The Battle of the Orc Fort [1]

THE WIND WAS howling and so was the many direwolves in the piece of land illuminated by the moon. Erected upon this land, where the ruins of a town that enjoyed prosperity mere weeks prior currently stood, was a crude fortification made of wood, mud and stone. The nearest villages had already been razed to the ground, its citizens having fled the night during a raid. Outside of this fort, humanoid creatures with skin as green as grass in the summer were reinforcing the fort's wall with mud, and were erecting sharpened wooden poles around it. It was an imitation of human engineering and basic fortification method, observed by the orcs themselves upon their night and day raids. In addition to the builder orcs, small groups of goblin riders were patrolling the vicinity.
