Chapter XXXVIII: The Battle of Lenden Hill [1]

NIGHT CAME ABOUT, and as the crescent moon casted its light to illuminate the road at the edges of Regalia where the Hero's punitive force was encamped, a war council was convened. Inside the commander's tent, flickering torches casted a golden glow on battle-hardened faces. Mercenary captains, adorned with scars and weathered armor, sat alongside paladins, their polished plate armor reflecting the firelight. Meanwhile, the light footsteps of servants scurrying back and forth faded in the background, their service remaining unnoticed unless they made one single mistake.
