"We should take her to the healer."
"No!" Celeste yells, her eyes flying open at her own audacity to yell at the concubines who are truly worried for her well being. But what can she do? How is she supposed to tell her the reason why she can't go to the healer's chamber?
"No…" She says again, and this time her voice is timid, and her tone a lot more gentler. "I think I will be alright if I have some sleep." She says.
"Didn't you sleep last night?" The concubine asks again. There's a crumble between her eyebrows.
Celeste doesn't know what she is supposed to answer to that question because she did sleep, but not in her chamber, not in her bed. She slept in the dark corridors, apparently her own bed chamber was occupied by the prince and his mistress, pleasing each other thoroughly.
