Huang Wei's heart pounded with excitement as he felt the impact of his fist on Fang Xia's face.
This was it, he thought.
The moment he had been waiting for since that humiliating defeat two years ago.
The moment he would take back his throne as the Heavenly Demon, the moment he would crush Fang Xia's invincibility.
For two years, Huang Wei had lived with the shame of being beaten by a girl in front of the entire school.
He had lost his status as the top dog, and his subordinates had abandoned him for Fang Xia.
He had tried everything to take her down, but nothing had worked.
She was like a force of nature, unstoppable and invincible.
Huang Wei's triumphant smile abruptly disappeared as he realized his fists had hit nothing but air.
"What?!" he exclaimed in shock.
Before he could comprehend what was happening, he felt a sharp, explosive impact on his stomach.
"BOOM!"
The sound of a whip echoed throughout the hall as Huang Wei's body crumpled in agony. Blood gushed from his mouth as he was hurled backward with the same ferocity with which he had charged at Fang Xia.
With a deafening crash, he slammed into the ground, sending a shockwave through the concrete floor.
The entire hall shook as dust and debris filled the air, obscuring Huang Wei from view.
"What the heck just happened?" one of the students exclaimed in confusion.
"I have no idea," another replied. "Did he just trip himself?"
The Upper demons, on the other hand, were not amused. Su Yan turned to Li Feng with a serious expression.
"Did you see that?" she asked.
Li Feng took another sip of his orange juice and shrugged.
"Yeah, I guess this whole fight was pointless."
Shen Yan watched Fang Xia standing there unscathed and felt a surge of determination.
"I'll catch up to you one day, Fang Xia," he thought to himself.
"And when I do, I'll prove my worth to you."
As the dust settled, the crowd's eyes widened in disbelief.
There, standing amidst the debris, was Huang Wei.
His eyes blazed with a fiery red hue, and his veins bulged grotesquely from his skin as if he was possessed by some demonic force.
His body trembled with otherworldly energy as if he was on the brink of exploding.
The air crackled with ominous energy.
The Upper demons present sensed the dangerous aura emanating from Huang Wei and tensed up, ready for whatever might come next.
"What the hell is going on?" Li Feng muttered under his breath, his orange juice forgotten.
Su Yan's eyes narrowed as she studied Huang Wei's transformation.
"That's not natural," she whispered.
Huang Wei's voice echoed through the hall, reverberating like thunder. The sound was so loud it felt like the walls were shaking.
"FANG XIAAAAAA!!!"
His eyes burned with fury, and his body seemed to bulge with power.
With a sudden burst of energy, he tore his shirt apart, revealing his chiseled, bulging muscles.
Veins popped out all over his body, and his skin looked like it was stretched to its limit.
Everyone in the hall gasped in shock and fear at the sight of him.
It was like he had transformed into a literal demon.
"I will destroy you!" he bellowed, his voice deep and menacing.
Fang Xia's eyes glinted with fierce chill as she sensed the demonic Qi emanating from Huang Wei.
'They really want to bring me down,' she thought, clenching her fists.
But she wouldn't let them.
She closed her eyes and concentrated, drawing upon the ancient technique taught to her by her family.
The air around her seemed to come alive as a torrent of qi flowed into her body.
It swirled around her like a tornado, filling every inch of her being with a pulsing, fiery energy.
She could feel it coursing through her meridians, igniting every nerve and cell with a blazing heat.
The sensation was both exhilarating and terrifying, as though she were on the brink of exploding into flames.
But she held on, channeling the energy into her fists and feet.
She opened her eyes, and in that moment, everything around her seemed to slow down.
She saw Huang Wei charging towards her with a fierce determination in his eyes.
She saw the fear in the faces of the spectators, and the solemn expressions of the Upper demons.
In the midst of it all, she saw a familiar, chubby face in the crowd, staring back at her with a look of concern.
'Liang Wei... I should recruit him after the fight.' She thought to herself as she turned towards Huang Wei.
Fang Xia stood poised, her hands at her side as Huang Wei charged towards her with full force, his eyes full of demonic rage.
But Fang Xia was ready.
She drew on the energy surrounding her, her body glowing with a bright light as she unleashed her technique.
The force of her power was so strong that it caused a gust of wind to blow through the hall, knocking back some of the spectators.
As Huang Wei closed in, Fang Xia remained calm.
With lightning-fast reflexes, she sidestepped his punch and delivered a powerful kick to his side, sending him staggering backward.
But Huang Wei was not deterred.
He charged again, swinging his fists wildly. Fang Xia weaved in and out, dodging his attacks with ease.
Then, with a sudden burst of speed, she leaped into the air and delivered a devastating flying kick to his face, sending him crashing to the ground.
But Huang Wei was not done yet.
He rose to his feet, his face twisted in a snarl of fury.
Fang Xia prepared herself for his next attack, but to her surprise, he simply collapsed to the ground, his energy completely drained.
The crowd was stunned into silence for a moment, before erupting into cheers and applause.
"Did you see that?! Fang Xia is a beast!" shouted one enthusiastic spectator.
"I can't believe Huang Wei was taken down so easily!" exclaimed another.
The Upper demons, who had been watching the fight with a serious expressions, exchanged a knowing look.
"She's as strong as ever," muttered Li Feng.
Su Yan nodded in agreement, "She really is a force to be reckoned with."
