Chapter 2: Finding a team

Alex woke up feeling happy.He took a shower,got dressed and ate breakfast.He got out of the room and saw his mother feeding his sister.He smiled but was actually thinking wouldn't it be nice if our biological mother were with us too?Is She even alive?Alex walked into the dining room and said his greetings to his parents and sisters.

"Mom dad the academy entrance examination is two weeks from now"Alex announced." What do you need for the exam?" said Mr Blade."I only need your good wishes dad" Alex replied."You should know that our good wishes are always with you Alex" said Mrs Blade.Looks like I forgot to mention that mom is awesome.She's a Terror level mage and works as a mage in the mage union.Dad is a store owner.He sells levels 1,2,3 artifact.My sister Alexia Blade is 15 and she is an ice mage.Beginner Level though.If I'm right she is about to break through to the intermediate level.She's super talented and very beautiful.I guess the good looks runs in the family.

Alright we are off to school my sister and I said simultaneously.They took their backpacks and headed for school.Well technically we are headed to Sam's house.Space and time mages intermediate tier 1 spell is portal travelling which Sam is capable of being an intermediate mage."Sam,Alexia shouted.Lets go we will be late."Sam just walked out of a portal and appeared in front of them."Lets go all aboard",he said.A beautiful silvery magic circle appeared in his front.It was glowing brightly and a portal appeared .

They got to class quite early so Sam and Alex thought that it was a good idea to join in a team."I will go and ask to join Freya's team", said Sam.Alex was in a pinch.He didn't have anyone that he could ask.While he was lost in his thoughts a guy named Ambrose walked up to him."You're Alex, right?"a person asked. "Yes I am", Alex replied."I am Ambrose Newt and I would like to recruit you into my team"the guy said.

Ambrose checked Alex out.He was sensing the aura of a beginner level mage but he probed deeper and noticed that the mockery of all final year students wasn't as simple as everyone thought.That apart Alex was as handsome as him maybe even more handsome.He had Back hair,deep beautiful blue eyes and a fairly toned skin but everyone knew him as a lazy boy who didn't like cultivating so a lot of people avoided him thinking that he was weak and was a bad influence on them."why do you want me to join your team?"Alex asked.Deep down he was scared that he would take back his offer.Ambrose the young man took a deep breath then he answered him by going straight to the point."You are a shadow mage which makes you a threat to other teams as it's not really an open book to others" said Ambrose.

"Deal then" said Alex. Ambrose smiled and walked away.As he was going a beautiful girl walked by him and he lost his breath temporarily.He then followed her from a distance

Ambrose saw the beautiful girl hugging Alex.For a moment he was sad and angry."Why am I feeling like this?"

Another maiden already chosen.He turned around and took a step before hearing "big brother Alex can you spare your little sister a little change?" Ambrose turned around and he smiled again then walked towards them."Alex I forgot to tell you that there will be training after school in the school's training ground" said Ambrose."Big brother Alex, who's this?" Alexia asked

"He's just a training mate nothing more than that" Alex answered

"Wow that hurts" Ambrose said.So you are Alex's sister but you guys have no resemblance at all"

"I am Alexia Blade.I hope you don't mind my brother he is just being him"Alexia apologized

"All Year 3 students should assemble at the auditorium please.Whoever comes late shall be punished"Chancellor Logan out

"See you later Alexia.Let's go Ambrose"Alex said lazily

"Miss Alexia please have this little change as my gift to you for our first time meeting each other.Ambrose brought out 200 chronocoins."

"Oh thank you Alexia replied but I rather not then she walked away"

"Alex suddenly grabbed Ambrose .Get a hold on yourself.The surrounding soul energy is getting out of control."Alex said

Ambrose noticed it too and suddenly grabbed Alex and ducked.Just then a wind mage ran past them at a very high speed.

"Phew.That impact would have surely broken a rib or two assuming he hit you".Ambrose said while standing up just then he saw several spells were coming their way and he shouted run.
