Chapter 16: Lord Edward Takes Action

**In the Windward Villa**

Lydia was sweating profusely,she just transferred a year of her cultivation to the guy lying in front of her but she had never done anything like that before so she didn't know if she missed something. She was hoping for the best but still a little worried.

"Young lady",a group of guards came in and bowed.

"Rise, what's the status report on the city?"Lyria asked

"No civilian outside the dome was harmed young lady", replied the captain of the guards.

"You guys should stay here and protect him and on no conditions must he be allowed to leave,also send some guards to protect his family,I'm going to comfort the citizens and ask for help."Lyria ordered

**Back In The Dome**

The Black dragon closed it's eyes immediately,the death eye of the great serpent king basilisk would curse anyone that sees it with bad luck till one dies,the curse might even lead to one's early death.The black dragon was injured, even it's dragon fire couldn't totally burn out the poison of the serpent king,it could only reduce the effects. Seeing how battered their comrade was, the Lightning eagle and the 7 headed hydra all rushed to it's side, even though they were mystic level,tier 1 beasts,they couldn't stand by and watch.

Fortunately, together they stood a chance.They immediately made their moves despite their eyes were closed but they were blown back when the serpent king unleashed it's full aura.It crossed the gap between them in a blink and smacked them all with it's tail in a full swoop,they were sent flying across the dome with their bodies rolling and rolling till they hit the barrier of the dome.The serpent king had a devilish grin on its face.It couldn't believe these weaklings were seriously taking him on and it had enough playing.It was ready to go for the kill as it suddenly had a serious look on its face,it went in for the kill but before he could get to the guardian beasts,it was blasted back to the other side of the dome.

Edward had enough,he was concerned about the safety of the people so he didn't want to go all out and he needed time to stabilize his power output at the peak of a forbidden mage.

"Impossible,I already brought you all down a level lower",70 screeched.

Edward busted out with power but he kept it under control lest the dome shield broke, despite being old,he would never allow anything or anyone to behave anyhow in it's city. He was in front of the serpent king immediately and a huge sword made of light was formed above the serpent king's head.

"Will you go back now or should I send you back", Edward asked?

The serpent king blew poisonous breath towards Edward but everything burnt away under the intensity of the sword.Immediately the sword came crashing on the serpent king. Nobody noticed but the serpent king was struggling to breath,all the air in its area was sucked away so he couldn't breath plus the incoming sword of death,it could easily picture itself with a fatal wound or death.It immediately withdrew into the summoned plane and the impact of the sword in the ground shattered the dome and created earthquakes throughout the city.

Julius foresaw this and used all his artifacts in had in him to protect the people. The underlings of the serpent king seeing their leader fled lost their confidence and portals opened up as they were trying to flee to the summoned plane, unfortunately for them the mages of mystic city wanted revenge,they rain attacks on them killing most of them while the rest made their escape. Edward looked around to search for the invading guests but no trace of them were found,they must have escaped under the cover of all the rubble and fighting.

**In an alley in Mystic City**

"And where are you guys going in such a hurry, don't tell me it's late and you are trying to get home before it gets totally dark?",a man with white hair and white attire said.

"Who are you? Leave us alone if you know what is good for you"a beautiful lady replied.

"Unfortunately, I can't do that, you guys are all criminals. You must be 70, you are indeed very beautiful as the rumors say", the handsome white haired man replied.

"Is my beauty enough to charm you to letting me and my minions go",70 responded.

"Tempting but unfortunately I have to bring one of you in so how about you give me one of you so the rest can pass?By the way,I am Ethan,Ethan Crimson and I have been ordered to not return home unless I bring one of you in so just spare me the trouble"Ethan said

"I am honored to have the youngest commander ever come to get me personally but I can't do that and you seem to be alone,do you think we can't take you just because you were born with dual elements?",70 replied.

"You think too highly of me, how about I do the king one better and bring you the ring leader to him instead as you rejected my offer?"Ethan replied with a smile.

"Dream on, take him down now"70 ordered her men.

She still had about 15 men with her so she chose to fight her way through the youngest commander ever.

As he took each step forward, everywhere was freezing, lightning was dancing all around his body with an ice sword on the left hand and a fiery sword on the right and he was shining with a light do bright that it's intensity was eye scorching. He moved fast and cut down all 15 men within an eyes blink with a sword to 70's neck. The sword was ablaze with fire that seemed like it wanted to consume everything in it's part and was so hot that 70's neck was burning despite the sword not touching her neck.

"You this overpowered and lucky bastard",70 said scornfully.

"Thanks for ..." before he could finish his statement,he was sent flying by a ferocious purple lightning blast.

"Who would have thought you have some talent but you don't seem to be very bright.Why use lightning against a lightning mage, naturally the damage was reduced.Who cares?Time for you to go to sleep.

Ethan suddenly was at her back and knocked her out with the hilt of his sword.

"Boring tasks as always",he said with a sigh.
