Chapter 35: Walpurgis Banquet [Part 1]

Currently wearing the outfit I had prepared for the banquet, a long black coat over a black shirt and black pants.

Something I made especially for the banquet was a helmet with two curved black horns, hair-like blue flames, and my glowing blue eyes shining through it. It looked similar to the helmet Ashborn had but instead of purple it was blue.

I saw the demonic-looking gates appear in front of me. The gates opened, and out of them stepped a green hair maid. She was the green primordial demon and subordinate to Guy Crimson, the red primordial, the guy that forced me into this.

"Lord Ashborn, I'm here to bring you to the banquet. Please proceed when you are ready." She said and waited patiently at the side of the door.

Well, let's not keep them waiting. I stepped through the door with two of my shadow solider that looked like knights walking behind.

The moment I walked in, I could see Guy sitting alone around a round table with eleven chairs.

So the other ten are already Demon Lords as of right now. Good to know.

"So these were the shadow things you used when fighting," He said, "Verry interesting."

I was glad he couldn't copy my skill. Otherwise, it could end badly for me, "I don't think they are anything special." I replied, my voice altered by the helmet.

"Hahaha. That's why I like you," He laughed, "Even when you knew I was a Demon Lord, you acted like it wasn't a big deal." We talked for a while until the next member arrived.

"Huh?" She then flew to me, "Cale, you are the new Demon Lord?" She asked, yes, this was Ramiris.

How did she even know? I sighed, "Yeah, a big bad red demon bullied me into becoming one. But call me Ashborn while here." I answered.

"Guy! How could you do that, a kid?" She yelled at Guy, who looked annoyed, so I chucked. I could do things like this since he was interested in me, and I had known Ramiris for a few years now.

Guy, Ramiris, and Mom or Roy. That's three out of the Demon Lords. Then the rest should be Dagruel, Dino, Kazalim, Carrion, Frey, and Claypot.

"Ah, Ramiris, you have grown smaller since the last time I saw you." Someone yawned as he was walking behind me, "So this is the new guy, hmm." He looked at the shadow soldiers but didn't say anything before sitting down and trying to fall asleep, ignoring Ramiris's complaints.

"Want a pillow?" I asked, giving him a pillow which he gladly took, and fell asleep. Even if I'm here to become a Demon Lord, I should be nice to some of them.

A few minutes later, Milim arrived and looked excited, "So this is the new guy. He is quite powerful for only being a seed." She said before sitting down. If I remember correctly, she has a Unique Skill that allows her to read anyone's magical power even if they are suppressing it.

The next person to arrive was Roy, who acted as the Demon Lord.

---

Everyone started to slowly arrive, with Kazalim, wearing a mask and robes, being the last to arrive. If I remember correctly, she had a curse forcibly put on her to transform her into a man or something in that line.

Then the blue-haired maid, I think her name was Rain, started introducing everyone.

"Demon, The Lord of Darkness, Guy Crimson."

"Dragonoid, The Destroyer, Milim Nava."

"Pixie, Fairy of the Labyrinth, Ramiris."

"Gigant, Continent's Wrath, Dragruel."

"Vampire, Bloody Lord, Roy Valentin."

"Fallen, Sleeping Ruler, Dino."

"Deathman, Curse Lord, Kazalim."

"Lycanthrope, Lion King, Carrion."

"Harpy, Sky Queen, Frey."

"Deathman, Marionette Master, Clayman."

"And finally, Unknown, Ashborn."

Unknown? Well, I myself don't know my race, so it's not surprising, but I would have guessed they would introduce me as a Demonoid.

"This concludes the introductions." She then bowed and stepped back a bit.

Then Guy stood up and addressed everyone, "Now then, I won't bore you with other stuff. I'm here to introduce Ashborn as a new Demon Lord. I fought him, and he has my approval."

Going straight to it, huh? I felt slightly nervous on the inside, while on the outside, I showed an indifferent reaction. Not like they could even see it.

"Now then, what do you say?" He asked everyone. There are two ways to become a Recognized Demon Lord:

Getting nominated by other Demon Lords to join their ranks and receiving majority approval.

Self-proclaiming to be a Demon Lord and then proving one's strength by defeating a recognized Lord.

"Can I keep this pillow?" Dino asked me with one open eye.

"Sure," I replied.

"He has my approval." He replied before going to sleep again.

"He's strong, and I want to fight him, so I approve!" Milim said, giving me a thumbs up, and I chuckled nervously. One thing Milim doesn't know is how to hold back.

"He has my vote!" Ramiris said, flying up with her fist up high.

"I don't have anything against him," Roy said.

Ohhh... Thanks, teacher. I chuckled mentally. I already have enough votes in my favor to join.

"I approve," Kazalim said. If I remember correctly, he.. She? Dosn't matter. She usually approves of new members in order to obtain further political pull amongst fellow Demon lords.

At least I didn't need to fight to become one. In the end, thanks to having all the ancient Demon Lord's approval, I quickly got the other's approval too.

"Well, since everyone agrees, we can welcome Ashborn as an official Demon Lord." Guy said before his expression became grim, "Now we should decide a title for him."

"Oh no..." Came everyone's response, and some had a look of envy looking at Dino, who slept without any care.

"What's with the gloomy atmosphere? It's not like I need a title right off the bat." I said, trying to cheer them up, but I quickly got denied.

"You don't understand the title is important, and we can't just use something boring like Newbie," Ramiris said, flying close to my face while the others nodded.

Author's Note:

Thank you for reading this chapter.

I don't remember the exact time when all the Demon Lords joined, but I think Carrion joined around the Tenma War, and Frey and Clayman joined around the same time.
