A Few Days Till the Next Planet

"Don't forget the butcher paper!"

That reminder from the wheelhouse got LaRee off his bed. He grabbed the roll of thick paper and ran back to the deck.

The next few hours casually passed by.

LaRee carved up two serpents before tossing the rest off the edge, while Ayse steered the ship and began their journey.

It had been years since LaRee butchered a kill so slowly. Then again, the ever-changing view of the dymension was the greatest distraction that LaRee had ever experienced. He examined every little thing possible, searching for patterns or repeating occurrences.

Once he was done with the serpent meat, LaRee leaned over the deck.

The wings were still out but the hover pads weren't running or lit up at all. Only the thruster was running at the moment. Yet the ship flew all the same, even a bit faster than before.

Still, LaRee's eyes eventually found their way back to the massive, ring-like things in the distance.
