Brother Zhou felt his authority greatly undermined the longer this silence persisted. As for Ye Qing, he was wondering whether or not going to the karaoke now would impact him negatively.
After a brief consideration, Ye Qing said, "You guys can go and have fun, while I'd rather return home and settle some matters as early as possible since I'm home alone for now."
Yu Lansi, as an energetic young girl, obviously wanted to go to the karaoke and as such, she pouted. "You're no fun at all."
"Don't say that," Brother Zhou interjected. "It's not easy to be living alone, and it's us who disturbed Brother Ye's schedule by imposing our evening arrangements on him."
This was just a roundabout way of saying he'd never included Ye Qing's presence in tonight's activities to begin with, so it wouldn't change a thing whether he stayed or left. In fact, it might have been better if he left already.
