Two days had passed now. Aydenhall resumed its operations, and now on the morning of the seventh of the month, Zail was left with two and a half months. He now sat preoccupied in the first lecture after reopening. The halls of Aydenhall were silent; all first-years were gathered in the Auditorium.

"It has been a tough few days for all of us," Mis Dyna began addressing the first years. "We have lost six of our brave souls, and some of you have shown displeasure in not being able to help. I, along with the faculty, am aware of the training most of you receive from your respective families - but that still does not change the fact that you are all amateurs," she said, eyeing Michaela in the audience.

The auditorium they sat in was massive, not as big as the throne room but enough to fit three hundred first-years and still have half its space empty. Decorated with beautiful artistry, precious stones, and tinted glasses with the heroes of mankind painted on them. The ground on which Mis Dyna and the other important faculty stood was raised above the ground that held the students who sat in perfectly comfortable and elegantly made armchairs.

"We are yet to know why the attack took place," informed the Dean, who stood beside one of three marvellous statues that represented Humans that were considered legends. "Yet we will be operating under the assumption that it will happen again."

"Therefore, we will be keeping theory to a bare minimum," continued Mis Dyna. "Now, follow the descendants of your respective families who will escort you to your respective training ground," she said, pointing towards the five differently dressed students who stood at the gate.

The first years started to move toward the exit in a weird synchronization.

"Zail, you will be coming with me and Professor Ira," informed Mis Dyna.

It stopped Zail in the spot as he walked towards the exit along with the crowd. He turned around and looked towards the dean to signal him to get him out of this.

"What is this?" thundered Zail telepathically to the Dean.

"Please follow through if you want to keep your identity hidden," Saphyrous reasoned with Zail.

"Yes, of course then, Mis Dyna. Where to?"

"Meet us back at the arena in an hour." Saying that, Mis Dyna took her leave alongside Professor Ira Lugh, while the Dean took a sigh of relief.

Zail walked past the chairs towards the exit, only to be stopped by a lady he knew. "What will they be making you do?" inquired Michaela.

"We'll know soon enough."

A woman in white silk robes was asked to enter the chamber of gods where the seven Apostle Gods sat on their respective thrones.

"What news do you bring us?" asked a goddess dressed in a beautiful purple dress with gold highlights, complementing her beauty and raven hair. She had a white snake wrapped around her, with its head on her right hand and the tail on the left. It was Eosis, said to be the most powerful being known to all of creation.

"It is the Humans, milady."

"What of those vile creatures?" thundered another god with a blonde beard and half the size of a titan.

"According to Hermes, the Humans were attacked by Kreya the demon."

"That is preposterous," said the goddess sitting on the far right of the cylindrical room.

Commotion followed; every god and angel present in the chamber of gods found new words to show their disbelief.

"Compose yourselves - you are gods, know how to act like one," lectured Eosis, the queen of the

gods. "Where is Zeus?" she asked, looking towards the only empty throne in the chamber, searching for her son.

The 'Chamber of Gods' had a dome covering its top, as good as they come. Thrones were arranged in a semi-circular way so that each god could see and speak to all who were present there.

"He is Zeus. He must be sticking his 'stick somewhere,'" commented the sly god sitting on the far left.

"You will watch what you say, Dail!"

The bickering of the gods made many angels in their presence tremble.

"Why did you put that pervert joke of a god in charge of the World border?"

"Enough! This is not the time for pointing fingers," reasoned a goddess sitting to the left of Eosis, who appeared miniature next to the other gods.

"Agreed. We need to know how a demon travelled to the human world," Eosis raised the question.

"May I dare say something, my lords and ladies?" questioned an old seasoned angel.

"Tell me, Leones."

"If I am not mistaken, Eosis, was there not a demon said to be buried somewhere in the realm of humans?"

"Yes! Kreya, daughter of Lucifer. Yes!" remembered Eosis.

"Then who could have awakened her?" asked the mini goddess Gazia.

"Send Greyon to the land of Humans. Tell him to find out who the demon was," commanded Eosis.

"Yes, Milady," replied Leones as he made his way outside the chamber.

"What is the Devil planning? What are you planning, Zail?" wondered the Queen of the Gods.

Swords clashed, and there was the stomping of boots in the mud. It had been raining for the last forty-five minutes, almost as long as the duel on the rooftop of the main campus building. The same rooftop from where Zail saw the battle against Kreya.

"You defend yourself quite nicely, Zail," complemented Mis Dyna.

"Thank you."

"That should be enough for today. Professor Ira will give you the fundamentals of battle, and I will excuse myself as I have some work to take care of." Miss Dyna took her leave, handing Professor Ira the keys to the roof.

"If I may, Mis Ira, why am I the only one here?"

"That is because you are an orphan, Zail."

"For some reason, everyone keeps telling me that even though my mother is still alive."

"I am sorry, Zail. 'Orphan' is a cruel word, but that is what people like you have always been called."

"People like me?"

"Yes, Zail. Like you, there have been some who held a Mahyahn, except the fact that you do not belong to any of the families."

"Does that mean I have no power?"

"No, no - listen, Zail, how about we skip the lesson, and you go rest. Tomorrow morning, I have your first lecture; I will tell you everything you need to know."

****************

"Yes, every single member of the faculty that was present at the battle is to appear in front of the king on the 5th of this month," conveyed the royal messenger standing in front of the dean.

Unbeknownst to anyone, someone was lurking in the hallway, listening to them.

"All of them will be gone. This is the perfect opportunity," Hader Nox, the shadow descendant, was delighted by this information.

What is the descendant planning? What will Zail find the next day, and what havoc will the godsend Greyon wreak on mankind, or rather the Demonkind?
