The man who was named a Demon

The rain had continued, dark and eyrie throughout the kingdom. Little did the group know that Leon's new concern was dwarfed by the impending doom that hovered Aydenhall. Only during the Fifth War had anyone seen any of the Family head with the tiniest hint of fear. The Fifth War was the last war to have ever been fought till date, which was more than two hundred years ago.

"It was my great-grandfather, Horaion Sobek…"

"The Water Demon?" Ira asked to clarify her suspicion.

"Yes, the one who slayed an entire fleet of the traitorous Devihumans…" Leon began narrating.

<206 years ago, third day of The Fifth War>

[Eastern border of Doritis]

The now former king, Horaion, had finally reached the battlefield. Devihumans or the humans fighting on the demons' side had the entirety of the kingdom's army overwhelmed. Not a single Demon or a God could be seen on the battlefield.

When in Doritis, death was the best fate one could hope. For, the ones that did survive, life was a greater suffering. Fathers, uncles, brothers, Sons, all was lost once in Doritis. With pride and a purpose to serve, Horaion took his steps, only to be stopped by one of his soldiers. A child of only fifteen, a child of Larken held his King's ankle. "Save us father," he cried.

Horaion leered the battlefield once again, the Devihumans charging in from the front, his brethren being slaughtered and the injured crawling away from the large wave of demon faced men.

A single tear and a queer power surged through him. His royal wear slowly burned away to be replaced by a jet-black suit with glowing Crayola blue stripes, a single stripe of white hair and a thick white moustache. A blue coloured plasma oozed out of each stripe and his eyes, his very furious and hurt eyes.

For thirteen hours he fought, stalling for other heads to arrive, waiting for Pericious' grandfather the strongest knight in the kingdom. Not a single soul on the kingdom's army had gotten injured as long as Horaion stood.

The land of Doritis witnessed the heroic battle. He was fast, he was sharp, he was dangerous. It took thirteen hours and sixty thousand soldiers to put a scar on Horaion. It was the break of dawn; he had fought through the night and unfortunately his body could not keep up. First a flesh wound to his arm then a sword through his guts. The long battle was over, bright warm sunrays brought a weird calm in Horaion's heart.

"Father!" His son, my grandfather, came rushing in towards his father along the rest of the Kingdom's army. Horaion was surrounded and none from the outside could see him. It was only when the army was able to cut through the army of Devihumans, when Posaion saw his father. The great warrior was gone.

More than a dozen sword punctured Horaion's body. Posaion reached his father who lay on a bed of steel and blood. Horaion was soon, thanks to the angles bought to Seanto.

It was only when the Gods sent their angels and when Pericious' grandfather Ethos Zoaran made his way to the battlefield, the Kingdom could actually hope to win the war. At least thirty angels had come to fight for the Kingdom. But for the Devihumans, there came only ONE!

A single sweep of The Devil's blade would wipe out dozens at once and he was fast, fast enough to take a hundred within a minute. A face so hideous that one look would shake one to their core. For him killing humans was like killing a colony of powerless insects and he would go through angels as if swatting flies.

My grandfather, Posaion had had just lost the most courageous man he had ever seen, his father and was not ready for what came next. He used to tell me, 'If you ever have the misfortune of seeing him, run. Run my boy, run, for only the Gods could save you.'

[Doritis]

"After the Second War of Doritis, there was only the three of us left, Zor, Lilith and I. and you demons are Lilith and Zor's children." Zail had returned to his human form as he explained to the sisters. "I could not save your parents and for that I am sorry but you my children were created without soul, only to serve in the war." Zayries outright refused that fact and could not accept.

The Demon sisters were now out of the horror of a memory. "Anyway, it is time, time to put an end to everything."

"What about your master?" Idris asked rudely. She had declared Zail guilty of robbing them of their parents or was simply blaming him for the entirety of her life.

In an understanding way, Zail disregarded the disrespect. "He is neither a angel nor is he a God. My master, the only Titan alive, Orcanus."

"Why did you leave heaven?" Zayries asked a more relevant question

Before Zail could answer, they had an intruder. "Took a while to find you but here you are." Greyon laughed in a sinister manner.

Zail expected a fight but to his and everyone's surprise all Greyon had in his arsenal was a warning and had disappeared the next moment. Yet again the three were surprised on the land of Doritis but something had changed, something changed for Zail.

"We are going to the kingdom of Diaroez."

[Aydenhall Dorm, Malik & Joan's room]

"Stop it Joan, stop beating yourself up." Malik sat next to her consoling her.

"How can I not? I was right there and I could not save her." It took a lot of convincing by Malik for her to finally calm down.

"For now, I am equally concerned about Zail. I need to know where does he fall in all of this." Joan agreed with him on this all the while coming up with a very valid question.

"But how would we find him?"

::Aydenhall is under lockdown. All to report to the Throne room. Seanto has fallen, I repeat, Seanto has fallen:: Said the voice in the announcement interrupting their conversation.

Malik and Joan looked at each other with confusion and fear. Along with the announcement the Aydenbell rang in a very specific rhythm. Ringing of the Aydenbell meant one and only one thing, the King was dead. Someone had killed the king and the Kingdom had lost their leader.
