Some Kind Of Royalty.

"We did as we were told, Alpha. We showed her the room and made her know all she needed to know about this place. We are going to continue tomorrow, we left her to have a little bit of rest for now" Hanna, one of Nicki's guides spoke for both her and Astrid, relaying the message of the errand they were assigned to do by the Alpha to him. 

"That's good, I'm pleased, you guys have never failed me" The Alpha nodded politely, he was pleased with them for the job well done and it left smiles on their faces. Nothing makes their day better than when they do something for the Alpha and he is extremely pleased with them for it.

Hanna and Astrid both bowed one more time after greeting the Alpha with a bow when they first came into his chambers to relay the message to him and turned, intending to leave. However, they were stopped by him and he said to them

"Wait, I have something else for you guys to do as Nicki's guides" The Alpha took his hand off his jaw, clearing his throat to speak. 

"What is it, Alpha? We are always at your service" Hanna and Astrid said in a chorus with their heads in a bow. No one gets to look the Alpha in the face directly unless he permits them. 

"I need you guys to know her every single move, keep an eye on her always. Make sure she never leaves your sight. Since she's new here, this place is going to take a toll on her and I need you guys to keep her safe from harm. She used to be human which makes trying to fit in here with the others a very tough task" 

The Alpha knew right away how tough he raised this place to be. It's not favorable to a newbie like Nicki and one that was once human at that. That's why he made sure she said to his face last night he bit her that she was never meant to have suicidal thoughts again.

He highly doubts that she's even thinking about suicide lately, the look on her face wasn't dull when she was brought to him like the one she had the night she wanted to end her life. He bets this place is going to change her and Nicki would be a happy kid.

Maybe it was a coincidence that she appeared to be right in the place he happened to kill his enemy. He wasn't just there for that but was there to save her too.

"Yes, Alpha" Hanna and Astrid got the job that was assigned to them. 

"And I mean starting from today, report to me everything she does and the kind of people she hangs out with. She's a jovial kid so I'm guessing it won't be long before she starts to make friends…" The Alpha's guess wasn't wrong and Hanna alerted him of it.

"Sorry to interrupt, Alpha, but she appears to have made a friend already. We saw her with Ariana Gomez when we went to get her"

"Ariana Gomez? The second kid of the Gomez family?" The Alpha had a little hint of who this Gomez kid, Nicki was friends with could be, but wasn't entirely sure it was who he was thinking and had to confirm it from her guides. 

"Yes, she's the one" Astrid was the one to speak up this time.

"Okay, I think they can be friends. That Gomez kid looks like one to not harm" The Alpha was cool with the friend Nicki made. He wasn't worried about it but Nicki needed to be extremely careful when making friends here, no one is your friend. 

If the Alpha himself knows this, then you guys should probably know how complicated this place could be.

"Also, one more thing" He had one more thing to let Nicki's guides know before they can take their leave. He's almost done with them.

"She has a wolf but it's quite a difficult one. Just make sure you guys have your eyes on her and anytime she wolfs out, do not forget to let me be the first person to know. Her wolf is the tricky kind, so she's going to have problems dealing with it" 

"Yes, Alpha" Hanna and Astrid's sentences were in unison. They raised their heads to leave since the Alpha seemed to be done with them now, however, they were stopped by him again

And Astrid, who has been the one annoyed at Nicki getting all these special kinds of treatments the whole time from the Alpha let out a groan.

But, she kept it on the low as she was not expected to act like that in the Alpha's presence. No matter the kind of task that was assigned to her. It would be so unprofessional of her.

"Wait!, I have something else to tell you guys, it almost kind of escaped my mind right now" The Alpha's mind was at rest now after struggling to remember the last important thing he wanted to tell Nicki's guides. 

"Nadia Tate, that girl who loves feeding off someone else's pain. Make sure to keep Nicki safe from her, Nicki might not look like it but she's still a sad kid trying to live her life to the fullest. I gave her that opportunity when I turned her and that is why I'm asking this as a favor from you guys" 

The Alpha rarely asks for a favor from anyone because of someone and when he does. No one would want to fail him, so it brought a smile to Hanna's face but not to Astrid, who was not happy with it.

He's never this way to anyone else here since she had known him. However, to avoid making herself look bad in the Alpha's presence, she had to keep all questions she wanted to ask him to herself. After all, she had no right to ask him such.

"We definitely won't fail you, Alpha" Hanna spoke for herself and Astrid. "We'll finally be taking our leave now" They both left the chamber.

Astrid stopped Hanna for them to talk after they had walked a far distance from the Alpha's place. 

"I don't like this, Hanna" 

"What don't you like?" Hanna was slightly confused, Astrid wasn't specific. 

"The Alpha giving a newbie like Nicki special treatments? Is there something unique about her that we don't know?" Astrid had to ask since she doesn't know why someone new to this place was being treated like some kind of royalty.

Hanna sighed, disappointed at Astrid not being happy with Nicki again. 

"We got the chance to do the Alpha a favor, Astrid. Focus on that and don't let what I don't know is making you act this way ruin it. You should be happy he still calls us for something like this. He has forgotten about most of the other guides"  

"That's not my point, Hanna. He's making me not like that girl, I have never disliked any of our students"

"Then better don't, don't let whatever is making you want to know why he's treating her that way ruin things for you. Nicki seems like a sweet girl, not a b*tch so we can tolerate her. I'm off" Hanna left Astrid to go on with the task assigned to them.

She can keep on bothering herself with thoughts about why the Alpha keeps treating Nicki specially. Hanna has a lot more to do than gossip or even feel bothered by it like Astrid was.
