Could Today Get Any Worse?.

Hanna helped and assisted Nicki in getting dressed into the right uniform for the everyday morning training despite her badly protesting she doesn't want to go.

She would have listened and let Nicki stay because she was a newbie however, she wasn't the one in charge nor was she the one who created the rules ruling this place. So they had to do as everyone was meant to and left the Luna's Lounge to the hall after they were done preparing.

Hanna pushed the tall and huge door of the hall wide open as they reached the training center while Nicki anxiously stood by, her heart racing faster than it should. She has no idea how today will go with it being her first time training.

Even at a far distance from the other's training, she could feel their sweat and the hard work they were fighting with. The swinging of their weapons and the sound it made was displeasing to Nicki who wasn't a fan of violence.

She could only hope she doesn't get put in a match to fight against an opponent. She has zero experience of how to fight since she preferred a very safe and calm environment and always wished for world peace. But, with the way the world keeps evolving every single day and all sorts of evil keeps on happening, Nicki wasn't so sure world peace could ever come true.

"Come on, we go in now" Hanna was able to bring her back to reality with the nudge she gave her. Nicki didn't bother to get in when the door was open but rather stood still like a lost lamb watching the others continue training speechlessly. 

"Right," She shook off the thoughts about world peace in her mind and focused on what was going on.

Nicki walked right beside Hanna leading them into the hall and her eyes just couldn't stop going around everywhere. She even almost stumbled if it wasn't for Hanna that caught her right before she could reach the floor. 

"You have to keep your eyes down here too, you wouldn't already want to embarrass yourself during your first day of training here, would you?" Hanna made her know while leading them to a certain spot that seemed to be specially reserved for her student alone to stay and train in separately from the other students in here too.

Nicki happened to see her best friend Ariana while moving to her training spot and lifted her hand to call her, however, Hanna was quick to discover what she was about to do and swiftly stopped her. No matter how close anyone here was with someone, they are not meant to interrupt them during training. It is something very wrong and faulty to do.

Failure to do so and the person could get heavily punished. The hall is strictly meant for the business of training and everyone knows training isn't meant to be joked with. 

"You don't do that here, Nicki" Hanna warned, keeping her hand down. 

"Why?" Nicki innocently questioned, having no idea what was wrong with greeting a friend during training too. Or was there a punishment that comes with that? Because seriously everything about this place seems not to be only strict, but punishment also comes with every single thing that one wants to do too.

"I think you already know why" Hanna hinted at Nicki and she scoffed, already figuring out why she can't wave to Ariana.

So it was among the rules not to greet a friend during training too? Okay now, seriously who made all these dumb rules? Why can't she wave at someone she knows? Nicki was critically thinking and it didn't make any sense to her.

"I'm not the one that made the rules, Nicki, it's the Alpha's rules, and even though we don't like most of them. We have to obey and not defy" Hanna said for Nicki to get rid of the disgusted look she had on her face, probably because she wasn't happy with the rules.

"Can't you guys say or do anything about it?? When I was bitten, I thought I was going to be in a pack, not this prison. I thought I was going to have a lot of fun as a werewolf because I believed you guys' life was fun but it's clearly not" This was not what Nicki expected to get when she got bitten and turned into a werewolf.

Of the movies she has watched about werewolves, most of them lived in packs and not prisons. They all had freedom of speech, they all had the freedom to walk about, and they all had the freedom to do anything they wanted. So why was it different here?.

Now, it dawned on Nick the second time that she wasn't supposed to be comparing movies to real life however she just couldn't stop it. 

"First of all, this isn't a prison, Nicki" Hanna corrected her student with the term she used to describe this place.

"Then why does it feel like one?" Nicki didn't agree with Hanna. If this was how she was going to live her life here, then she would surely fall back to depression and start thinking of ending her life again and breaking the promise she made to the Alpha not to ever have suicidal thoughts ever because this place wasn't it.  

"It does kind of feel like one sometimes but this place isn't a prison. It's a pack" Hanna used the right term that was mostly used to describe werewolves' domain and hastened her footsteps to reach the training spot that was reserved for Nicki.

The conversation between them was starting to divert in a direction she didn't feel comfortable with. 

"Okay then, does this pack have a name? I know every pack is supposed to have a name" Nicki didn't agree with Hanna and the way she was now speaking was a bit sarcastic but she didn't make it that obvious. 

"I will tell you later when you stop being sarcastic" But Hanna knew she was being sarcastic and so used Nicki's sarcastic talk as the perfect excuse to end the conversation between them. 

"I knew that was going to happen. It was stupid of me to think this place isn't a prison and actually has a pack name" Nicki thought Hanna was lying to her but little did she know she wasn't. 

It was a good thing their conversation ended because they finally reached the training spot and stopped at the sight of Astrid already there and seemed to have been waiting for them a very long time ago to arrive.

"Oh great, Astrid decided to be a good girl and show up" Hanna rolled her eyes, the conversation with Nicki that almost turned into an argument was over, and here now she was about to have another one with her partner.
