YAHOOO! Let's go guys! So I took a short vacation last week after two years and I have to say I'm feeling refreshed. I'm also looking forward to watching the new One Piece. I don't know what to expect but it's nice to have something to look forward to after dealing with so many of life's adversities
I hope you enjoy this chapter!
As a kunoichi, Sakura gracefully acknowledged that her life had unfolded like a vibrant tapestry of colors, woven together by the threads of her shinobi status and the profound impact of her former teammates, Naruto and Sasuke. However, the most bewildering twist of fate awaited her when she joined forces with them to confront a deity-like entity, only to awaken in an alternate dimension—a world reminiscent of the vivid pages of comic books. This extraordinary realm boasted individuals who earned titles as heroes or villains, possessing enigmatic powers known as quirks.
Navigating this peculiar world became an adventure of its own, as Sakura embarked on a new mission of attending a prestigious school dedicated to nurturing aspiring heroes. The introduction of a traditional classroom setting after emerging from the throes of war was a jarring transition. She could now empathize with those students who sought solace in slumber within the confines of such educational spaces. Nevertheless, Sakura found herself surrounded by diligent classmates who were steadfast in their pursuit of becoming heroes and fostering positive change. Their unwavering determination served as an endless source of inspiration, even though their unwarranted fixation on trivial matters occasionally perplexed Sakura, who saw greater significance beyond the boundaries of their perspective.
One particular fixation that Sakura observed among her classmates was their steadfast adherence to rules and regulations. They seemed to place unyielding faith in the notion that following a rigid set of guidelines would guarantee success. To Sakura, true heroes required flexibility and adaptability, rather than being confined by predetermined parameters. She found herself yearning for the freedom to chart her own course in a society that imposed strict restrictions upon her.
The concept of quirks diverged greatly from her intimate understanding of chakra. Quirks were untamed, unpredictable forces that often spiraled out of control, wreaking havoc upon their users. Despite being enrolled in an official hero training program, Sakura and her classmates were prohibited from using their quirks to engage in combat or aid others—a privilege exclusively reserved for those who had earned the esteemed status of heroes. Sakura, at times, caught herself harboring thoughts of effortlessly overpowering her classmates, but she wisely kept such musings concealed within the depths of her thoughts.
Recently, Sakura had participated in U.A.'s prestigious sports festival—an extravagant event where potential heroes showcased their skills to attract the attention of scouts, who sought to mentor promising individuals through internships. In a display of her formidable abilities, Sakura emerged as the overall victor of the competition. While she held little interest in capturing the attention of scouts, her unwavering pride refused to accept anything less than victory in the presence of such a substantial audience. Overcoming her classmates posed no true challenge, given their limited combat experience confined to training exercises and an overreliance on their quirks. Sakura purposefully drew out the battles, prolonging each encounter to assert her dominance with greater certainty.
Most of her classmates gracefully accepted their defeats, save for one formidable adversary—Katsuki Bakugo. Bakugo possessed tremendous potential as a fighter and was undeniably a worthy opponent. However, his inflated ego overshadowed his capacity for adaptability. Despite the results of the sports festival being of minimal consequence to Sakura, she declined all offers she received and instead chose to intern under the guidance of Recovery Girl. While internships held little appeal for Sakura, she viewed them as an opportunity to seek out individuals with teleportation quirks—a desperate and improbable attempt to find a path back to her own world. Despite the odds stacked against her, Sakura adamantly refused to surrender her flickering flame of hope.
As a reward for her accomplishments at the sports festival, Sakura received an additional prize that held little interest for her: two tickets to a place called I-Island. Upon learning that it was a convention for heroes, she scarcely bothered to open the envelope housing the tickets. "I have no reason to attend," Sakura thought, dismissing the notion as she disembarked from the bus alongside her classmates. A faint murmur caught her attention, as someone expressed hopes for a trouble-free experience this time—a reflection of the previous incident at the USJ, where their entire class had been attacked by a group of villains calling themselves the League of Villains. Led by a sinister child with a plethora of destructive toys at their disposal, such as the fearsome Nomu monster designed to challenge the number one hero, All Might, Sakura became acquainted with yet another vexation in this world.
Despite the colorful characters that inhabited this realm and their deeply ingrained moral and ethical codes, Sakura found herself stumbling more often due to the world's advanced technology rather than its inhabitants. The society she encountered was suffocatingly restrictive, leaving little room for individual freedom. However, she had yet to revisit the USJ—until now. Although it had been painstakingly restored and declared villain-free by their homeroom teacher, Sakura sensed a lingering unease among her classmates as they prepared to return to the site of their first encounter with villains—an encounter that had left them as inexperienced first-year students pitted against ruthless adversaries who spared no thought for the lives of children.
The hero Thirteen, just as before, awaited their arrival at the entrance to the USJ, and with a sense of grim determination, the class entered the building. True to his nature, their homeroom teacher wasted no time in easing them into the day's lesson. "Alright, class, today you will be divided into teams of two," Shouta announced, his voice tinged with an air of indifference that suggested he had just been roused from a deep slumber. "The hero teams' objective is to locate and rescue as many dummy civilians as possible, marking them with your team's label. Ten of you will assume the role of villains, aiming to eliminate the heroes by tagging them out."
Katsuki's face contorted into a mischievous smirk, his eyes sparkling with anticipation that sent shivers down his classmates' spines. "So it's going to be a battle royale?"
"In a manner of speaking," Shouta affirmed, barely concealing his disinterest. "Apart from your teammate, you must overcome the rest of your classmates to emerge victorious."
As Sakura retrieved her number, her gaze fell upon Eijiro Kirishima once again. Kirishima, an exuberant and hyperactive soul, sported an ear-to-ear grin upon realizing they were teammates once more. Soon, every member of the class had been assigned a partner, and the time had come to commence the exercise.
The hero teams were comprised of Sakura and Eijiro, Tsuyu and Yuga, Fumikage and Ochaco, Mashirao and Iida, Mezo and Kyoka. The villains, on the other hand, included Izuku and Mineta, Hanta and Shouto, Momo and Katsuki, Toru and Rikido, and Denki and Mina.
Each team was instructed to take their positions on opposite sides of the USJ, awaiting the imminent sound of an alarm that would initiate the exercise. This strategic measure prevented the villain teams from immediately converging upon the heroes, granting the latter a precious window of time to begin their search.
As the alarm pierced through the air, signaling the start of the exercise.
..
..
..
Eijiro and Sakura stood together, contemplating their next move.
"It's likely that they hid a couple of dummies in each area. So where do you want to go?" Sakura asked,
Eijiro stared at her, uncertainty etched on his face. "Um...I'm not sure. Shouldn't we try to circle the whole USJ?"
Sakura's gaze met his. "We're on a timer. You shouldn't hesitate. If this was a real emergency, that hesitation could be a hindrance," she said firmly. "Think of it this way, what area would give us the best advantage in scouting and finding people? We can't search the water as well as Tsuyu, and we don't have the same scouting abilities as Mezo. We also can't clear out fires as easily as Shouto. But we have the strength to pull up piles of rubble and climb out of pits."
A spark of realization flickered in Eijiro's eyes. "Oh! The earthquake area!"
..
..
..
The earthquake area resembled a ruined city, with uplifted roads, cracked streets, broken buildings, and rubble scattered all around. It presented a challenging environment for searching for something as small as a dummy. However, their combined strength allowed them to easily uplift debris and smash through any obstacles in their path.
Eijiro tried to conceal a sour expression, but Sakura saw through it effortlessly. "What's the matter?" she inquired.
"It's just that last time I was here, I was fighting villains with Bakugo," Eijiro confessed, his voice tinged with unease.
Sakura exercised empathy, understanding the challenges her classmates faced without prior experience fighting against individuals willing to kill. Memories of her past struggles resurfaced. "We're training to become heroes. I say they were a good practice run," she reassured him, her voice filled with sympathy.
Eijiro's grin resurfaced, and he pounded his hands together in determination. "Yeah!"
Sakura reminded them to remain alert. "Don't forget to be on the lookout for anyone waiting to ambush us. This place is vast, and we'll all be spread thin. But odds are, we're going to encounter quite a few people here."
Curiosity sparked in Eijiro's eyes. "What makes you say that?"
"This area might have a lot of debris, but it isn't on fire, and you don't have to wet your costume. Not to mention, it provides great cover for villains who want to hide in wait," Sakura explained.
Eijiro sharpened his senses, determined to remain vigilant as they delved deeper into the earthquake area. They shuffled across the broken rubble, checking the ruined buildings systematically. After a thorough search, they discovered one of the dummies hidden amidst the debris in a ruined building, swiftly tagging it before moving on.
"Man, Aizawa-sensei should've realized how tough this exercise is. We're checking the entire USJ, and we don't know how many of these dummies there are," Eijiro remarked, a hint of frustration in his voice.
"If it was a real incident, the area might have been wider," Sakura pointed out. "Maybe what he wants to sink in is that you can't save everyone, but you've got to do what you can."
"That's kinda dark," Eijiro mused.
"That's kinda reality," Sakura replied somberly.
They continued their search, maneuvering through the damaged buildings. Sakura relied on her experience in such situations to navigate the terrain. Eventually, they stumbled upon two more dummies concealed under rubble and debris, though they were at least noticeable. Sakura explained to Eijiro the importance of systematically moving through the area during rescue operations to avoid retracing their steps or missing others.
"You really are number one in the hero course!" Eijiro exclaimed, his admiration evident.
Sakura frowned. "Is that my title? Like what people actually call me behind my back?"
"Well, with the entrance exams and the sports festival, you kinda earned it," Eijiro said earnestly. Sakura felt a twinge of guilt, knowing that she had years of training and experience ahead of her classmates. She wondered why hero training didn't start earlier in this world, providing more time to prepare from the basics. Her path to becoming a ninja had demanded years of rigorous training, and the current system felt like cramming in comparison.
"Maybe the dangers just aren't as comparable," Sakura thought to herself. Besides, many heroes' activities and accomplishments relied heavily on their quirks. They believed they could only go so far with what they had been gifted. She couldn't deny that the absence of chakra limited their abilities, and powerful villains still posed a significant threat. Their world operated differently.
"I still can't believe how fast you moved in the final round. That blast from Bakugo was huge, but you still managed to dodge it," Eijiro praised, recalling their previous encounters.
"It wasn't so much," Sakura admitted, downplaying her actions.
"Not as much as you think," Eijiro replied. "Well, Bakugo's a tough customer. He knocked me out when we fought. I figured I couldn't keep up my hardening for long."
"So endurance is your weakness. Just work on that then," Sakura advised. "You're a great shield and weapon, but you haven't mastered your quirk if you can't hold it for an extended period."
Eijiro pulled his lip, pondering her words. "I didn't think of that."
Maintaining a distance from her classmates was Sakura's preference. While they were eager to forge connections with one another, she struggled to invest the effort. As the class representative, Tenya had given her numerous lectures on the importance of engaging with her classmates, but she found it difficult to do so. They already caused her enough trouble by getting themselves into dangerous situations, with the recent encounter with the hero killer Stain serving as a vivid reminder.
"There's another dummy!" Sakura exclaimed, pointing toward a pile of debris up ahead on the road. However, before they could approach, another team emerged from the shadows. It was Mezo and Kyoka, joining them in the ongoing search.
"Figures, they probably came in from the other side and covered the area," Sakura knew they both had quirks that were well suited for rescue operations. If they were dealing with live bodies, Kyoka would be able to use her quirk, but Mezo could enhance his senses aside from hearing. He was also a great muscle, so tearing through the wrecked would be easy for him. Kyoka could also lift heavy debris with her sound waves.
"We should head to another location,"
"Why?" asked Eijiro, "We're on the same side, so we won't get into a fight,"
"They came in from the other side, so they've probably covered the area and now we're meeting in the middle. Let's just move on,"
"Hey, you guys are here too!" They saw on the other side, coming from around the corner Fumikage and Ochaco. Kyoka and Mezo also saw them and called out to them and Eijiro responded in kind.
"Yeah! We came in from the other side, so this area is pretty much-taken care of! We should move on!"
Well, Shouta didn't say it was against the rules for the hero teams to work together, even if it was technically a competition.
"Well in a real situation, I guess we would have to put competition aside," Sakura said.
Ochaco rubbed the back of her head, "Guess we all thought this would be a good starting point,"
There were enough areas for each team to evenly split but Shouta had made it a point to state that it didn't matter where they chose to go. They were on a timer, and as long as it was running, they were free to wander around to search for dummies.
"Makes sense with your quirk," Sakura said. Ochaco could lift heavy objects easily enough and float them around weightlessly.
The six were standing together, discussing where they would try to go next to find more dummies to 'rescue', but then they heard a loud bang. The explosion was distinct and eyes went up.
Kyoka's sweat dropped, "Don't tell me-
"It's him,"
Everyone moved out of the way as Katsuki came crashing down towards them like a rocket locked on target. He was at least loud enough to give them a warning for this. The power of his blast kicked up the debris and caused a cloud of dust, that settled on his figure.
In the clearing there was his partner closing in. Momo was likely left behind while Katsuki took off on his own doing the same thing he had done to Tenya.
"Bakugo!?" Tenya exclaimed.
"He's not the only one," Sakura glanced to the side where she spotted Denki and Mina hiding out behind some rubble. And on the other side, hiding in a building she saw two more.
"Looks like we made a big target….You might as well join the party, Izuku, Minoru!"
"How did she know we were here!?" Whispered Minoru. Izuku couldn't answer his partner because he believed they had hidden well. They weren't even tailing the two but had been following another hero team. Apparently, there were other villain teams doing the same. They wanted to succeed in this exercise, which means everyone had to play their roles.
Some did it better than others but Izuku was willing to put in the effort. Even if it meant going against one of the best fighters in class.
Katsuki's explosions had brought the scattered teams in the area together, and now they were essentially being closed in by three villain teams. But it was still an even number. Now the villain's teams had a limited number of people they could tag, but once they were tagged they were considered out and could no longer continue searching for dummies to rescue and since they were working as teams if one hero was taken out, then both members were out.
Shouta always emphasized how a hero's disposition was unequal to their counterpart, the villains. That included rules and regulations, but it went further. Villains could easily abandon their partners if they wanted, but heroes who did something like that would have their reputations smeared. They had to uphold justice with great strength and standards with great morals that an average human being might not possess.
But that was the price they paid for being put on a pedestal by society.
"Hold it right there heroes!" exclaimed Momo.
"You-you can't escape," Izuku piled trying to play the villain role.
The six, Sakura, Eijiro, Kyoka, Mezo, Tenya, and Ochaco stood back to back, surrounded by their six classmates. Although it wasn't intentional, it was a good stance. Sakura and her teammates would use this formation often to project their blind spots with each other.
"Looks like we're even," observed Mezo.
"Kaminari don't electrocute us!" Kyoka warned Denki. She knew that he couldn't control the direction of his electricity, though his quirk was powerful, he couldn't execute a large-scale attack without hitting everyone within range. He wouldn't be able to do that without hitting his own teammate and the other villain teams.
"Should we try to escape?" whispered Ochaco
"We're not giving you the chance!" said Minoro. He plucked at his head. Sakura found his quirk odd, he was able to pull what was his hair from his head in balls that could stick and trap anything and anyone. It kind of looked like giant grapes without a stem. He started throwing them at the group, and the heroes had to scatter off in different directions, but it was in the line of the other villains.
Everyone moved in, they were more focused on the goal of tagging the heroes out than actually brawling. A net came flying from Momo's direction, who was trying to subdue her opponent, that was Tenya, but with his speed, he was able to evade. Here's where Shouta was a bit of a prick in Sakura's opinion, the heroes didn't get tags to hit the villain teams out. He always tried to put them at the biggest disadvantage so that they could figure out ways to overcome it in the real world. While giving the roles of villains also helped them to understand the perspective and advantage they may have only them in the future and how they might be countered.
But effectively the encounter quickly became a high-level acrobatic game of tag. The area was quite open as well, with little cover available. Everyone was rushing one another. Sakura continued to evade, sidestepping Denki she grabbed his sleeve and placed a solid step in front of his foot to flip him into the air and onto his back. The villains seemed to have all teamed up though rather than just relying on their partners for help.
"Nice one!" Eijiro complimented.
"Focus!" Tenya instructed rushing around with Ochaco on his back. He had Izuku on his tail, using his quirk to keep up with his friend.
"Mina!" Izuku called to the girl, she looked at him when he pointed to Tenya that was coming in her direction. She threw down a thin layer of acid from her hands, that Tenya wasn't quick enough to avoid. With his turbo quirk, he was a bit delayed in taking tight turns. His reaction time didn't match his physical speed at times. And Izuku who had a habit of observing his classmates made it a habit to know his friends just as well. Thus Tenya and Ochaco were tagged out.
"Sorry guys…"
"You bested me again Midoriya," Tenya grunted accepting the helping hand from his friend.
Sakura jumped hearing Katsuki behind her, he followed her into the air using his quirk to propel himself with his explosions in each hand.
"You're not even holding a tag,"
"Shut up!"
Sakura knew that Katsuki still had bitter feelings towards her for the way she had beaten him in the exams. But she wasn't going to throw a battle just because she didn't care for it. She blocked his blast by grabbing his hand and throwing him off to the side before landing.
"Still all bark,"
-The battle was more of everyone dancing around each other using their quirks over for invasive maneuvers or capture attempts, rather than combat. Immobilizing was more important for the goal.
The heroes were keeping to their teams because if one fell the other would have to follow. Momom managed to get out Kyoka which in turn took out Mezo, which left only Sakura and Eijiro to fend against the six.
"There's no way you'll be able to escape the six of-
"STAY OUT OF MY WAY!" Katsuki demanded, cutting off Minoru before launching himself at them.
"Move!" Sakura instructed.
Ejiro and Sakura were now ducking and dodging around the six for a while, Sakura made sure that no one was able to tag out Eijiro, keeping him close. She held onto his wrist to pull him in whatever direction she pleased and out of harm's way.
'One minute left,'
Izuku knew that Sakura was a great fighter, but he hadn't gone against her personally like some of his other classmates. But even this was showing him that there was a bigger distance than he thought. He saw her take down Stain easily, but he thought that his constant training was leading him to catch up to her and the rest of his classmates who had practiced with their quirks already. Seemed he still had a ways to go.
That's what he thought when she flicked his forehead and sent Izuku straight into Mina, they crashed little ways down the road. Sakura was also able to knock out Minoru with a chop to the back of his head and Eijiro was able to act as a shield against Denki and Katsuki's attacks. While Momo couldn't' land any of her capture attempts on her targets. She had been trying to keep her distance, knowing she couldn't take Sakura in a head no fight.
"This is it fivehead!" Katsuki screamed, he held out his palms ready to strike with a large explosion he wanted to ensure would knock her down.
Sakura pulled Eijiro next to her, smiling as she watched the rest of them attempt to jump the two. But then the buzzer went off.
"That's time,"
..
..
..
At the end of the day, as the students returned to school, Sakura spotted Eijiro in the bustling hallway. She approached him with a small envelope in her hand.
"Here," Sakura said, extending the envelope towards him. "These are tickets I got for winning the sports festival, it's to some place called I-island."
"W-What!?"
Eijiro's eyes widened in surprise as he accepted the envelope. "I-I can't take this!" he stammered, his voice filled with disbelief.
Sakura waved off his protests with a gentle smile. "It's fine. I wasn't planning on going anyway. And they're just going to waste if I don't give them to someone,"
The first person Sakura thought to give it to was Hitoshi, but she had a feeling that if she gave it to him, he might insist on her coming along.
"But, Sakura..." Eijiro's voice trailed off, his expression a mix of gratitude and uncertainty.
"Consider it a reward for being such a good partner during this training session," Sakura interjected. She turned and began walking away, traversing the busy school hallway before Eijiro could gather his thoughts and attempt to return the precious gift.
..
..
..
Sakura stepped out of the shower, feeling the warm water's embrace wash away the weariness of another exhausting day. As she dried herself off, her gaze shifted to the giant scar that adorned her chest—a stark reminder of everything she had been through, including the tumultuous war. It was a constant presence, a testament to the battles she had fought and the sacrifices she had made. Even now, she struggled to comprehend how she had managed to survive it all.
Lost in her thoughts, Sakura was startled by the sound of shuffling coming from her kitchen. She hurriedly wrapped herself in a towel and cautiously made her way toward the source of the noise. To her surprise, she found none other than Hawks, the number three hero, standing amidst the pots and pans, holding containers of dinner.
"It's not your time to visit. Why are you here?" Sakura asked, her voice laced with a hint of curiosity and skepticism.
Keigo, feigning a pout, replied, "Aw, come on. I got you your favorite desserts."
Sakura knew that she couldn't simply chase him away, no matter how hard she tried. Keigo was a persistent presence in her life, constantly finding ways to break through her defenses. He grabbed a towel and gestured for her to sit in front of him on the couch. With a sense of resignation, she obliged, giving him a chance to dry her pink hair, while she munched away on her fruity dessert.
"So, have you heard about the exposition at I-Island?" Keigo inquired, making small talk.
"Sort of," Sakura replied, her voice carrying a tinge of disinterest.
Undeterred by her short response, Keigo continued, "Well, I happen to have two tickets here. One for me and a special guest. They're setting us up in a five-star hotel, and there's a great party for heroes."
"I already got tickets and gave them away," Sakura replied nonchalantly.
Keigo seemed taken aback by her response. "Oh, right, the sports festival, huh? Wait, you gave them away?"
"I don't want to go. And I'm definitely not sitting up in a hotel with you for days," Sakura stated firmly, her resolve evident.
"Don't make it sound so scandalous. It's an innocent offer, really," Keigo insisted, his tone tinged with mischief.
"Yeah, right," Sakura retorted, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
As Keigo continued to dry her hair, he ventured, "Well, actually, I won't be able to go. So, I was thinking maybe my favorite—"
"I don't want the tickets," Sakura interrupted, her tone final.
"Aw, come on! You'll get to see one of the most exclusive islands and experience the best treatment. This science expo is supposed to showcase some of the world's greatest inventions. I think it'll be a good place for you to relax and stretch your wings. It's sad you don't have any fun," Keigo persisted, a playful gleam in his eyes.
Now, he moved to rub her shoulders, attempting to ease the tension. "Feel that tension?" he asked.
"I feel your fingers digging into my skin!" Sakura swiped him away, her annoyance evident. But then she paused, intrigued by his mention of scientists.
"Did you say, scientists?" Sakura inquired, her interest piqued.
Keigo nodded. "Yeah, this event is a giant science convention, where all the world's leading scientists will be showing off their latest creations. They all reside on the island as a precaution because they are considered the best. They're at the forefront of creating hero gear. Maybe you'll be able to find something to enhance your costume," he explained.
"My costume is fine," Sakura declared a hint of stubbornness in her voice. She was partial to her simple kimono-style attire, which allowed for maximum mobility.
"You're not doing much for fan service," Keigo teased, flashing a grin.
Sakura curled her lip in disgust. "Like you?"
Keigo's grin widened. "Exactly."
Exasperated, Sakura sighed. "If I take the tickets, will it end this conversation?"
Keigo nodded, satisfaction was evident in his eyes...
..
..
Sakura didn't think she would ever consider going to the exposition on I-Island, but the prospect of encountering the best scientists and inventors was enough to pique her interest. Perhaps among them, she could find someone who could provide insight into her dilemma. Although the idea of using technology for dimensional travel seemed far-fetched, Sakura was determined to explore all options before accepting being trapped in a world of heroes. Even after all this time, she hadn't lost hope in finding a way out.
That night, Sakura lay in bed, staring at the two tickets in her hands, contemplating their significance. Raising her phone from the nightstand, she dialed a number. A groggy voice answered on the other end, "Do you know what time it is?"
"Hey, Hitoshi. Do you wanna go out with me?" Sakura asked, her voice carrying a mix of excitement and curiosity.
Hitoshi was a realist. He didn't harbor any grand fantasies about being a hero, even though it was his goal. He believed in achieving it through realistic means. With his quirk, Mind Control, he had often been told that he would have been better suited as a villain, despite his demeanor and inherent goodness. But he continued to strive for the role of a hero, even if it meant employing unconventional methods.
He could have applied for a hero program at another school that would have been better suited to his ability, perhaps even allowing him to enter in his first year. However, Hitoshi decided against it and instead applied to U.A. He took the entrance exams, failed the practical portion, and was determined to use the Sports Festival as his stepping stone into the hero course. He even spent whatever little time he had to prepare and train with Sakura, who spared no punches, ultimately securing himself a place in the second round, only to be defeated by one of her classmates. Thus, he couldn't help but feel a tinge of satisfaction when Sakura effortlessly claimed the top position in the festival, despite her lack of interest in participating.
Even after all this time, Hitoshi still couldn't fully comprehend his enigmatic friend. Sakura possessed countless powers thanks to her quirk and was already nearly an expert in utilizing each one. Additionally, her fighting instinct surpassed that of the most formidable students at U.A. Sakura operated on a whole different level of power. Yet, she remained naively innocent in many ways.
Hitoshi often found himself explaining the usage of basic technological devices and acting as a tour guide for Sakura on various occasions. Through these experiences, he realized that typical sayings and norms didn't always apply to her. So when she asked if he wanted to go out, Hitoshi made sure not to fall off his bed and calmly requested an explanation.
"Come again?"
"I've got two tickets for I-Island and I want you to come along,"
That was supposed to be her reward for winning the Sports Festival, "Don't you have other friends?"
"Nope. Come on, don't make me beg,"
"When have you ever?"
"Hopefully not to you, now what do you say?"
"This isn't some coffee date Sakura, it's to a damn I-island with no exact location-
"Please!"
Although he didn't expect her explanation to be an outrageous invitation to leave Japan and travel to I-Island with her, it presented an insane yet incredible opportunity. "I'll start packing," he replied, a mix of surprise and anticipation coloring his words.
