Cent, short for Crescent, recently finds out that she is the daughter of the great demon, Beelzebub, when she got a pair of horns on her eighteenth birthday instead of a pair of skating shoes. She finally got her answer why she never once felt that she belonged, turns out, she is not entirely human.
When her estranged dad came knocking to take her away from her wretched foster life, Cent grabs the opportunity to be with her only ‘living’ family. But, he is called the great demon for a reason. On cue, two shadows appeared from behind her. They immerged from the shadows of the trees, waiting to be called by her. "You finally called us," said Levi.

Crescent did not bother to look back. Her gaze was still fixated on the place where Damon disappeared to.

She could no longer feel his presence. A couple of black and red slaughter butterflies flocked around Cent, their fangs protruding as they missed sipping her blood.

She offered her right arm and like a bear dazzled by the smell of honey, they flocked like flowers on her pale arms. Not minding the pricks of their fangs, she glanced at the two.

It was Merlin who first answered her. "I believe that this is much more serious than we previously thought."

Levi, who got another task from Merlin, nodded his head in total agreement.
