“Your ego is still strong even in a time like this, huh? Shin was trying to help. But why are you making a face like you’re mad now?”

“Mad? Who? Me?” Waree raised her voice.

Yeah, that was totally like someone mad. That was what Maysa thought, but she did not say it. Because it was kind of fun to watch her cheeky friend acting like this sometimes.

“Why would I care about where that guy went? I didn’t even care when he suddenly disappeared and came back again with a different title. I was just wondering why he joined our force and went to battle with us, that’s all!”

“Oh, you surely don’t care at all.”

Maysa started laughing, making her friend give her a warning look, which made her put her hands in the air as a sign of giving up right away as well.

“Well, he said that he sensed something shady in this, so he volunteered to help. And his sense was right. I think we need to thank him later.”

"Excluding me. I’m never going to say the word to that kind of person.”
