“And why can’t I use my illusion with you, Emilia?”

Maysa grinned, even though she was panting a little and had sweat on her cheeks.

“I called Gaia, so your magic shouldn’t work anymore!”

Emilia shouted. She did not understand a thing. She could not calculate anything with this woman. Even every possibility was ruined.

Maysa scoffed.

“Gaia? Where’s that Gaia?”

Emilia halted. She opened her eyes widely and looked in front of her. She found nothing. There was no Gaia. The building where Maysa was standing was still there.

She called Gaia. Why was it not there?!

“My illusion doesn’t only control your sight and hearing, but also your consciousness.” Maysa let out a long sigh. “Are you not surprised at all why the building’s not been destroyed, even though it should have been since you used your magic?”
