Desperation Part I

“What’s wrong? Where’s the confidence gone?”

A sweet voice rang. Her golden yellow eyes showed utter disdain. Miguel, the tanned girl, smirked so cutely. There was a puppet string on her hand. A flaming skeleton puppet was there, holding a death scythe.

Meanwhile, a man before her panted so heavily, even though he did not have any wounds on him. His face was so pale there was no blood under it.

“...What the hell is that puppet…?”

Tunwa muttered while panting heavily.

Even though he was without injuries and had not been attacked by the puppet just yet, he felt so exhausted. His HP continuously decreased, too, for some reason.

“What are you doing, Miguel?!” Tunwa screeched. “I can fend off every attack but why is my HP being drained? Are you cheating?!”

“Woah.” Miguel feigned surprise. “I’m so offended you said that. I’m not cheating.”

“...Then, how?!”

He could only say that when he dropped on his knee. It was clear that his strength was drained.
