A half done magic

Elliana lay on the rooftop bench facing the sky as she looked at the clear sky.

It was serene and beautiful. It was peaceful. There was no doubt about it. But she didn't like it. Why was the sky peaceful when her heart was such a mess?

She wanted to make it rage just like her heart. Everything was taking a toll on her. These confused signals Mr. Marino was giving her, the projects she wants to work on, and let's not start on how her search for her mother was long forgotten.

"Nathaniel," she whispered, wanting to talk to her friend.

Nathaniel, who heard her voice crystal clear in his office looked at the globe and clicked on it to see what she was doing.

Seeing her lying on the bench lazily, he rolled his eyes before clicking on the globe again to remove the scene.

He went back to reading his book, and Prakrith, who was sitting right in front of him, looked at him with raised brows.
