The truth about the card

Chen Lin gathered the grocery bags, her voice light with a hint of amusement. "I went grocery shopping, but then I locked myself out. And I don't have your apartment card with me. You should really give me one."

Wu Yuxuan unlocked the door with a swipe of his card, taking the groceries from her hands. "What do you mean? I already gave you one."

Chen Lin froze in place. "Ah?"

He stepped inside the apartment, casually answering, "I gave one to my assistant—the one who drove you here."

Chen Lin stood there, still by the door, blinking in confusion. When she didn't follow him inside, Wu Yuxuan turned back and raised an eyebrow, teasing, "What? You want me to carry you in, Chen Lin?"

Chen Lin entered, slipping off her shoes and neatly placing them on the rack. "So, you did give me a card?" she asked again, still a little puzzled.
