Wu Yuxuan's lips curved into an amused smirk, watching the way she pieced it together far too late.

"For someone aiming for a CEO position," he teased, "you're a little slow sometimes."

Chen Lin gasped, scandalized. "Unfair! You baited me with food!"

He merely shrugged, entirely unapologetic, and reached for her hand, intertwining their fingers with an effortless familiarity. His touch was warm, steady. "You got to do what you got to do."

He turned to lead her forward, but she didn't move.

Wu Yuxuan stopped, brows furrowing slightly as he glanced back at her. The teasing light in her eyes was gone, replaced by something quieter—steadier.

"You don't have to handle everything by yourself," she murmured, her gaze steady. "Let me be the one you can lean on—just like you are for me."

Wu Yuxuan stilled.

The words settled between them, sinking deep.
