Mei Xuan anxiously hovered beside the stretcher, her fingers clenched around the blanket covering Chen Lin.
"Why didn't she say anything?" she muttered. "She should've told someone."
An Yuexin's expression tightened, worry clear in her eyes. "Did no one notice? She must've been feeling unwell all this time."
Ji Yuhan, silent all this time, didn't say a word as he climbed into the van with her.
The doors shut, and the vehicle sped off toward the hospital.
By the time they arrived, Li Wei was already waiting at the emergency entrance. His usually composed face was tight with worry as he rushed forward.
"What happened?" he demanded as the paramedics wheeled Chen Lin inside.
"She collapsed on set," Ji Yuhan answered, his voice steady despite the tension in his jaw. "Fever over 39 degrees. She was unresponsive when we moved her."
Li Wei's hands clenched. "Damn it."
