  --This novel is based on two deities of Chinese folk religion: Black and White Impermanence or Heibai Wuchang. I've kept their original names, but taken pleeenty of liberties otherwise. There have been several other interpretations of these two across video games, novels, manhua, manga and the like. This is my own.


-- Creatures! Some cute some scary, some friendly some... not so much :)


-- It should go without saying but: ghosts are there too! Mostly to bring the feels. All the scares are courtesy of the living, just like real life!

-- If you read my previous novel Capturing my Demon King Costar, you're probably familiar with the Underworld as a setting, but these two novels aren't connected! Ultimately both novels have different depictions of the Underworld as well as Youdu (the capital city).
