Stop Her!

"Don't just watch! Help me!" Kane grew mad as he couldn't land even a single strike on Winter, he felt like he was making a fool out of himself in front of Winter who shot a blast of lightning as Kane was shouting at his soldiers for a second.

"Argh! You little..."

Bam! Bam! Zap! Zap!

Kane had twenty players with him who surrounded the calm Winter, she looked around her to see the creepy smiles that the players gave her. To them Winter was a lamb who was inside of a wolves den ready for the slaughter. But Winter never thought of them as a threat, even if they were elites upon elites, Winter was a powerhouse herself coupled with her unique class she didn't think much of the players though their numbers were a problem.

One of the players who was a swordsman charged towards Winter with his long great sword. He swung it horizontally towards Winter who dodged it before tapping his armour with her staff which confused the player. But only after a second a pulse of lightning coursed throughout his body, he felt like he was being burnt alive.

It was agonising but the player soon recovered from the horrifying pain that struck his body. With an angered expression he swung his sword again yet this time Winter tapped the ground rather than his armour which caused a large shockwave of lightning that threw the incoming players off their feet while some were stopped in their place.

Around Winter were players who were supposedly elites of elites yet they could be seen laying on the ground coughing in pain while some could only fall to their knees in front of Winter's lightning shockwave.

"Powerful..." This was the only word that could escape their mouths as they looked at Winter in awe.

***

Zoom was casually wearing a cloak that hid his identity as he blended in along with Fallen Moon players, who only looked at him with a fearful expression.

Why?

Just a few hours before the battle had begun Kane had instructed his army to not attack the cloaked players inside their army since those were the players that held Kane's trump cards like the summoning scrolls and a few traps. But this simple instruction backfired and only benefitted Zoom.

Zoom had only noticed this a few little while ago when he was with the players who were left to loot the battlefield while the players converged in the stronghold to battle.

So now Zoom was strolling inside Fallen Moon's army as he looked at the battle between Winter and Kane take place. Zoom knew these players were walking money bags. Players who equipped level 60 gear or higher were Zoom's targets. Though he couldn't fight a level 50 elite of a guild like Fallen Moon head on without using everything he had, he didn't have to even move a single finger and only took advantage of the players fighting against each other.

'All I have to do is wait for Winter to fall and I'll activate my loot aura and run, simple as that.' Zoom was looking at WInter's bone staff with greed as he waited patiently for her to fall.

Though there was only a very slim chance for the bone staff to specifically drop but a chance was a chance, it wouldn't hurt to wait. Zoom had already looted a handful of items so he could bother to wait for Winter.

"Winter!" After the battle had prolonged into a stalemate before turning into Kane's favour after Winter's elite players fell after the horde of Fallen Moon players came to wipe them. They were elites but against a horde of players they could only flee or die.

Winter was alone against hundreds of players as her mana continued to dwindle. Winter had originally planned to rush towards Kane and kill him as quickly as she could and taking Flake's body back with her but she had underestimated Kane too much.

Winter couldn't outclass the healers that provided Kane with continued health. His powerful armour also played a large role on why he is still alive up until this point.

"Tsk..." Winter could only move forward and overcome her dilemma.

"HAHAHAHA!" Kane laughed maniacally as he looked Winter in the eye. To him, Winter was a trapped prey that could no longer escape, this was the moment he was waiting for. It was his turn to shine and humiliate Winter and the Snow Guild.

"Once I capture you alive you'll become my plaything Winter! HAHAHA!... You and Flake would become my trophies that I would indulge myself in! You may be able to logout but as long as I won't kill your bodies then they will continue to exist as long as they are in combat mode!"

As long as a player was locked in combat when they logged out then they're bodies would continue to remain as long as they're bodies weren't killed. This was a problem which caused for players to never log in anymore.

Upon hearing Kane's words Zoom's neutral expression suddenly twitched, Zoom wasn't a hero, he wasn't benevolent or pursued to help someone in need, he was someone who was mostly selfish and only gave his attention to the people he cared about and wouldn't bat an eye to a stranger no matter who they were.

But Zoom was disturbed at what he heard from Kane prompting him to take a few steps forward, the players gladly made a path for Zoom thinking he was one of the players Kane was referring to.

Zoom didn't rush his movement as he waited for Winter to weaken Kane further.

As the battle prolonged Winter could only cast a few more skills before she would run out of mana. Winter couldn't escape and her only thought was bringing Kane down with her. One of her cards was a self destruction skill which was why she wasn't afraid of rushing towards Kane. This skill would also affect allies which would also kill Flake's body.

"Stop her!" Kane yelled before a cloaked player casted a spell that came out of a scroll, a small gust of purple smoked enveloped Winter before dissipating, after dissipating a large shockwave of wind shot out.
