Waking up

'I really need to stop blacking out… I mean this can't be healthy right? Then again, if I cared about my health… I wonder if dragons blood and dark magic cause cancer.' I let out a long groan. 'Who even cares…' My eyes rolled open and I felt them rotate and twist as they regained focus. 'This… isn't my room…'

It was similar in design, but much larger. There were only two beds, a softly smoldering fire, a real kitchen and sink. And as my eyes traced them all they eventually settled on a familiar figure. A couple inches taller than Isy, short blond hair, and a narrower build. My vision was still a bit fuzzy, and they were laying over there desk with there face covered… But… 'Kal?'

As I shifted and felt the incredibly soft fabric gliding over my bare skin I shuddered. 'These aren't my clothes either…'

The bed creaked under my weight as I drug the blanket along with me as I moved, feeling a bit awkward. 'Should I just leave? No… I should probably retrieve my clothes, where would he put them? Should I look around and get out of here before he wakes up?' I looked down at my clothes, recognizing them as pajamas, the pants fit surprisingly well, but as I moved to button the shirt, none of the important ones would fit together… And like the rest of my clothes, everything underneath was missing too… 'Ugh… It feels like bugs are crawling all over me… This is stupid. "Teecher!" Did I always used to overthink things this much? Just use the most direct approach and solve the problem… It feels like I'm annoyed with myself…'

"HEY! Teacher!" 'My voice sounds the same… But It's a lot louder in this form… And since I'm not really embarrassed I guess putting effort into speaking loudly backfired…' I paused a moment as they began to stir. 'I'm not embarrassed… It's kinda nice… No, this feels wrong…

He took a deep breath, slowly raising his head. "What gracefull tune is this that doth grace my ears like the sound of morning birds…" He groaned, slowly rubbing his head before standing up. "Sounds like your awake…"

'His voice is wrong too…' As he finished turning around my eyes fully came back into focus, as if they had changed lenses… It wasn't Kal… She looked similar for sure, but at least from the front they were pretty clearly different. "Uh… What are you doing?"

'What am I… Uh? Wait what?' My grip on the blanket relaxed, letting it fall in front of me. She was probably the first girl I had seen that was truly beautiful in the more traditional sense that I had almost forgoten. I felt almost like a dream because of how out of place it seemed, not to mention the shock. It felt like time slowed for a moment. Though… That could have just been my head spinning, admittedly.

Her short hair was swept back and slightly tousled, framing her delicate, slightly pudgy face, that was as soft as her ears and nose were small. Sure, her figure wasn't exactly… Like mine… But you could still easily tell she was a girl.

"Hello?"

'Oh right.' "My uh…" 'Wait, what was I thinking?' "Sorry… Give me a minute… My head still aches, I stood up too fast…"

"Uh… Then maybe you should sit back down?"

I slowly blinked a few times. 'Ok, yeah, sure.'

"How are you feeling? I looked over your body and didn't find any injuries, but you were passed out. Kal said he found your horse dragging you around."

'Kal… Oh right.' "My clothes?" I sighed. "I don't even have to ask, I can tell by the smell these are his…"

"Sorry…" she said with an awkward smile, brushing a hand through her hair. "Mine didn't exactly fit you… They don't smell that bad do they?"

"No that's not really… Where are my clothes…"

She turned back to her desk and started sorting through papers. "Your clothes are still wet. Sense those don't exactly fit either. I left a change next to the bed."

I started looking around and quickly realised the change of clothes weren't the only thing left out on the floor… 'aren't they only still wet because you didn't hang them up to dry?' I turned back to the bed, spotting the neatly stacked clothes that sharply contrasted everything else. "sorry. I didn't see them."

"Did you even look…"

With a soft groan I started walking back over. "My boobs make it hard to look down. Don't turn around, I'm changing." 'Wait… Hold on a second… Presumably this is Kal's room too. Considering similarity that would be his sister, these are his clothes… If he's the one that found me on top of that, wouldn't this basically be his que too…' "You know… On second thought, your brother's probably going to show up soon isn't he?"

She looked back. "What? He should be busy though, even if he isn't he always knocks first. It's almost embarrassing how skittish he is around his own sister."

'I wouldn't be complaining…'

Sure enough a knock came on the door, bringing a grin to my face. "Told you."

"The heck?"

"He always shows up at supper awkward times like this."

Her brow twitched slightly before she gave a confused smile. "Oh Yeah?"

With neither of us having actually responded to the knock, the door opened and he walked with a yawn. "Hey sis, turns out they just wanted me to fight someone instead of give a lecture…"

'He looks pretty disappointed, what exactly happened?'

She just rolled her eyes. "Guess you were right not to start changing." Her hair gently swayed as she softly shook her head, lowering it to her palm.

"I told you, this sort of thing always happens…" I felt another sharp headache the moment i looked back at him, as if I was splitting in too. 'Not being embarrassed… Is nice but… If this is the alternative…' in a moment the pain faded and I slowly crossed my arms.

He stared blankly back at me until his tired brain suddenly woke up and he turned away, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Siya… What are you wearing…"

"How is this my fault?" I let out a short growl. "Fine, if you don't like it I was about to change anyway…" 'It's just my shirt anyway.' Another piercing headache flared through my mind as I took it off, but it only made my thoughts even more blurred.

He sighed, turning back to the door. "Don't you dare open that door!" His sister shouted, making him freeze stiff.

"You want me to just stand here then?"

"Yes?"

He started softly banging his head against the door, all the while I had frozen stiff, at the first sound of yelling, and upon the realisation of what I was doing. 'I guess… I can still get embarrassed in this form… If it's extreme enough…'

He sighed. "Are you done yet?"

"NO!" My voice echoed back with a roar, bellowing like a wild bear before suddenly overcompensating to that of a mouse.. "D-don't turn around…"

"Ugh… Honestly… Why didn't you just change in the bathroom…"

I didn't bother responding, not that it would have been easy too in the first place. I tuned him out and my mind quickly sidetracked itself anyway. My familiar scars were gone, my hands perfectly steady, and my pores none existent. 'Something definitely feels off here…' "I need a moment to think."

He groaned back. "Can't you put some clothes on first…"

"Oh… Right…" Unlike the pajamas that were baggy, the newer set had all the same problems I was starting to get used too. Tight in the hips, too big in the waist, loose in the shoulders… And about to tear in the chest.

The shirt was thick and soft at least, but it being soft honestly might have made it that much worse. Thankfully my body seemed to be pretty immune to virtually anything that would cause pain or irritation… But… That probably also made it worse. With how tight it was I wasn't brave enough to pull it on fast, and having it slowly glide down my skin was much more uncomfortable than I could have ever imagined.

"What are you doing?"

I covered my mouth, realising I had let out a soft whine like a puppy from how much i hated it all. "Nothing… I'm done… You can turn around now."

He sighed, quickly looking over how messy his room had suddenly become, blankets strewn out on the floor and the like.

"Oh, my clothes need to dry right? We should hang them on something. And I should probably take a bath, or at least wash my hair." I groaned, leaning over and starting to gather them. My chest wrap still dripping water as I picked it up out in front of me, letting it hang down to the floor. 'Of course… She didn't wring anything out either. I guess I shouldn't complain though sense at least this was all handled by a girl…'

"You can do all of that in your own room!" Kal suddenly shouted, his face more red than I had ever seen it before. After a sudden silence he cleared his throat. "Sorry. I didn't mean to yell… But… You seem to be in good health… So you should probably be on your way now… And… Just keep the clothes… I doubt I'll be able to wear them comfortably after this…"

I tugged at the shirt, looking down. "That's fair… They'll probably be stretched out anyway. What's with this shirt by the way?"

"Right… That's the reason…" He sighed.

His sister jumped towards me. "Oh I picked it, do you like it? It's short sleeved, but designed for the winter. I figured it would be best for you to wear something more thick rather than not considering… Well, you know."

"Oh, right. Cuz my chest is so big now." I poked at it before tearing a strip of cloth off the shirt and tying up my hair. It wasn't long enough to cover my stomach anyway, with how far forward the fabric had to travel first… Although, I still regretted tearing it… My body still acting almost on its own the moment I let my guard down.

"Are you… Really the same person?" He muttered, his face contorted with exasperation.

He gathered up the rest of my clothes and practically pushed me out the door before I could even answer. Before long I was standing on the other side and it was closed.

'I guess he gets as embarrassed as I do… Who knew? Although, I suppose I was acting rather shamelessly, that was really no different than how I act around the girls… Mm… Maybe a bit bolder than that too honestly…' My chest heated up again as my breath started to become warm. 'I guess I could have dialed it back… But I admit I was starting to get curious about how far I could go… I thought for sure I would start to be embarrassed again, but I wasn't really… So what was different about that one moment then? Actually, now that I think about it, I didn't mind his eyes either, almost like he was a statue… The dragon I merged with did say he hated feeling attracted to men… No… Would I have changed that much? That doesn't seem right. His sister was pretty striking, but it's not like I was attracted to her in that way…' I let out another deep sigh. Leaning back against the door and feeling the wet clothes slowly soak through my shirt.

'Hold up… If anyone saw me like this…' I looked down, slowly wrapping my clothes around each other so the outer layers were the only ones visible. 'They'd definitely get the wrong idea right? I should leave… And then figure out how messed up my head is…'
