VENUS' POV
I woke up feeling heavy today.
Fuck. I remember last night. I covered my face with my hand and I screamed. I felt so stupid.
I remember my mom. I reached out to my bedside table to get my phone and I dialed her number.
She immediately answered. I felt relieved. "Hey Venus, how are you?"
"I'm good, Mom. How are you?" She's fine, she's always fine. Even if I feel that she's not.
She only told me that she and my dad broke up because of my dad's family. She said that they don't want to get involved with us. It's unfair, right? Why would you give up your own family with that? But I know that everything happens for a reason.
There would always be a reason, we may not know now. But soon, we'll know.
"Don't think about me, I'm okay. Just usual day to day activity. Work and sleep." She laughed.
She's been working for me all her life. Thankfully, someone offered me a scholarship from an 'anonymous' sponsor. I wish I could meet this person soon.
I got distracted by my thoughts, I even forgot my mom is still on the phone. I got startled by her voice.
"Well, I have to go to Venus. Just enjoy your life there, okay? Don't think about just studying, have fun sometimes, go on adventures!" I laughed. Oh Mom, if only you knew what I did last night.
"Bye mom, See you soon. Love you." She told me she loves me too and dropped the call.
I'm just here laying down on my bed while Kayla is sleeping heavily. I wonder what time she went home last night.
While scrolling through my instagram feed, I received a text from someone.

I turned on my phone again and text messages keep on coming, but I did not bother opening and reading any of them. I am not interested. I shrugged.
I decided to get out of the bed to wash my face and I suddenly heard a loud knock coming from the door. I glanced at Kayla to see if she heard the knock, but she's still sleeping so heavy.
"Yes?" There's a man wearing black shirt, black jogger pants and black rubber shoes holding a brown paper bag.
He doesn't like black, huh?
"For you Ms. Venus." I looked at the brown paper bag that he was trying to give me.
"And this is from who?" I rolled my eyes because I know.
"Mr. Elias." I reached the paper bag then shut the door.
What the hell is this? I took a peek at what's inside this brown paper bag. I realized it's food.
Who am I to reject this? Im fucking hungry.
The food seems to be from a classy restaurant. Yorkshire pudding, fish and chips and English pancakes.
I immediately sat down on the chair. Shit, I remember him again.
I placed the food on the table and immediately ate everything.
Oh God, this man.
Why is he doing this?
I promised myself that the next time he will give me food, I'll reject it.

I glanced at Liam and he's sleeping like a fucking baby.
How would I get her number? I reached for my phone on the bedside table to text Anthony, one of the IT technicians at the palace. I know he won't turn me down.
