Shattered Hope Part One

With the countless battles happening throughout Grava City, there is a meet-up happening on top of the tallest building in the city, which is miles away from Grava Acadamy.

Nisugi is currently on top of the building, looking at her laptop.

"I expect everything is going well on each front."

"Oh, sir, yes, of course everything is going well," Nisisgi answers with a calm expression.

Nisugi looks behind her and sees the same hooded man who was watching the Grava Acdamy tournament with the small boy.

"So, sir, I hope you enjoyed watching the tournament."

"Yes, it was as special as I expected it to be. I just wish I didn't miss the amazing battles Kage had," the hooded man says with a calm smile under the shadow of his hood.

"Well, I'm glad to tell you that our lengthy planning meetings are truly paying off."

Nisugi shows the hooded man her computer, and what he sees is a layout of Grava City and all the current positions of all their allies.

"It was your great idea to attack the corners of the city so they would be forced to send all their strongest allies away from where we are currently. This is working perfectly because currently, each feared legend is holding all the upper-class teachers of Grava Acadamy in battle so they won't be bothering us anytime soon."

"Yes, and what about Nixion?"

"Well, unfortunately, it looks like Hunter got dispatched by him, which means Nixion is currently roaming around the city free."

"Yes, that is unfortunate. Hunter was a great asset to have on our side, but having Nixion go around doing whatever he wants is dangerous."

"Yes, I know I told Killer to eliminate any threat that may affect the plan, and Nixion is at the top of that list," Nisugi says with a determined expression.

"Killer won't find him; he has great skill, but even then, Nixion won't let himself be found if he does not want to. I'm confident in that."

"Then maybe I should go down there myself and use my powers to find him."

"No, stay here; we need at least one person in a constant position so everything can run smoothly. Just stick to the plan and tell me any other reports you have."

"Ok, well, I am glad to tell you that this will be all over soon."

"Oh, it will be?"

"Yes, based on this message I just received from the spy we had placed in Grava Acadamy a few years ago."

"Oh, so the spy has found the dagger, I assume."

"Yes, and he is on his way here right now."

"Good, then we will wait here patiently," the hooded man says with a smile.

Not too far away from the base of operations of L.T.O. attack team three, made up of Akira, Emiko, and Elias, are rushing through the city in search of any person who looks like they need help.

Akira is on top of a roof, looking around with her strong sense of smell.

"No one around here either."

Akira starts to walk to the edge of the building and then starts running to the other side of the building. Akira jumps to the rooftop of the building next to her.

"We already saved quite a few people from mercenaries, but there has to be more!"

Akira jumps to another building, but when she lands, her foot slips.

"Uh oh!"

Akira slips and falls face-flat on the roof.

"Ouch, that hurt," Akira says as she gets up.

Akira puts her head up and starts sniffing around.

"Oh there!"

Akira runs to the side of the roof and looks at the road where Elias and Emiko are.

"Hey! I can smell someone approaching where we are!"

The second Emiko hears Akira's voice, she gets annoyed.

"Would you shut up already with these status reports? I don't need your help; I already knew someone was on their way here!"

"That's impossible; you're way too weak to be able to sense something that far coming towards us," Elias says with a condescending tone.

"Elias, shut up and mind your business!"

Elias quickly grabs Emiko by the throat and pins her to the wall.

"You will watch how you talk to me, bitch! I am Elias, the Vengeful Destiny, and I will not be disrespected by a worthless, no-future-having harpy!"

"Oh wow, I'm surprised your vocabulary is that large. Mr.Strout taught you that one, didn't he? Did he teach it to you while you two were taking turns putting each other's dicks in your mouths?" Emiko remarks with a weak voice and a smile.

"What the fuck did you say?" Elias says with while gritting his teeth.

Elias winds up his fist to go in for a punch, but then Akira puts her hand on his arm.

"Damn it, I can't move my arm!"

"Let go of my sister now," Akira says with a stern tone.

"Tch, get your fucking hand off of me!"

Elias removes Akira's hand and walks away while dropping Emiko on the ground.

"You're both nothing but ants to me! I only want to exact my vengeance on that bastard Paul; this mission is complete bullshit! I only came out here to find Mr.Strout!"

With Elias walking away, Akira goes to help Emiko, who fell to the ground.

"Hey, Emiko, are you okay? I guess we just got unlucky getting paired with him." Akira says while giggling.

Akira puts her hand out to help Emiko, but Emiko swiftly smacks her hand away.

"We didn't get unlucky. I got unlucky getting paired with both of you at once! How many times do I have to tell you that I hate you? Why did you force your way into my team? Why won't you just get out of my sight already, damn it!"

"Well, I only did that because I wanted to make sure you were safe at all times."

"And who the fuck asked you to do that, huh? I told you already, I don't care what our father thinks of you or thinks of me; we are enemies, and that's that!"

"But Emiko."

Emiko looks into Akira's eyes and sees that she's holding back tears.

"I'm sorry, Emiko. I just wanted you to not hate me anymore," Akirs says while sniffling.

The second Emiko heard those words, she remembered a few words Selena said to her during their battle.

"You are worse than an untrustworthy person! You throw good people away—people that you can trust! Do you know how lucky you are to have someone as kind-hearted and trustworthy as Akira by your side?" 

Then she remembers the vision of Akira stopping her father from attempting to assassinate her again, which Selena showed her during their battle.

"Why?"

Akira wipes her tears and looks at Emiko without making eye contact.

"Why what?"

"Why did you forfeit the match against me and let me win? You didn't even fight back against me once."

"Well, I couldn't bring myself to hurt you, or even worse, hurt your feelings, so I just quit instead."

"That's it?" Emiko screams with a shocked expression.

"Yes," Akira says while flinching.

"Ok, fine, then tell me why, when Father refused to give up on trying to kill me, you threatened him with suicide? I don't believe you would just kill yourself for me like that; it's impossible!"

"Oh, how do you know about that?"

Your friend Selena forced me to see it in a vision during our battle.

"Oh well, if you truly want to know, let me ask you a question."

"Fine, go ahead!"

"Well, do you remember when me and you went out into the city and adventured around?"

"Yes, I do; it was the day I almost got killed by the assassin father sent. Why bring it up now?"

"Well, when I think about the days we genuinely hung out together as sisters, the days you smiled at me with so much happiness instead of the frown you usually have on your face, those thoughts are what make me feel like I have to protect you no matter what, even if you do hate me," Akira says with an impassioned voice.

As Akira speaks, Emiko's face starts to scrunch up with anger.

"But why? Why protect someone like me who has treated you so badly? Someone who constantly belittles your kindness, and even worse, a person who has no hope of a bright future?" Emiko asks with an anguished tone.

Emiko looks toward Akira, waiting for an answer.

"Well, that stuff about you having no hope for a bright future is completely wrong in my eyes, but if you want me to sum up my entire reason..."

Akira looks up with a bright, warm smile, targeted at Emiko.

"It's because I love you more than anything imaginable."

When Emiko hears those words, her face brightens up slightly before she turns away from Akira.

"Wait, what's wrong, Emiko?"

"Nothing, just leave me alone!"

Emiko walks away from Akira with a conflicted expression.

"No, this has to be some trick; there's no way she would truly feel that way," Akira says as she wipes a tear from her eye.

At the same time as this, Elias is ahead of the girls in search of something.

"That person I sensed earlier is getting closer. I hope my hunch is right, and it is him, so we can just leave this city."

Elias looks over to his right and sees someone jumping from building to building, going in the direction of where Nisugi is located.

"That is him! Mr.Strout over here!"

Mr.Strout stops jumping and then looks over to where he heard his name.

"Oh, my dear Elias, there you are, but what is he doing out here?"

Mr.Strout goes over to Elias with a smile.

"Good job finding me, my dear Elias, but why are you out here and not in the stadium?"

"Well, they started sending us kids in teams to help out here, so I volunteered so I could look for you."

"Oh well, this is perfect because I have some people I want you to meet. I was just heading there, so let's go."

"Oh yes, of course, if you want to, Mr.Strout but where are Mrs.Lez and Mr.Baz?"

"Oh, don't worry about them; you'll find out later."

Before Mr.Strout and Elias can go anywhere, Akira and Emiko show up at their location.

"Hey Elias I see you finally found your husband," Emiko remarks.

"Didn't I tell you, don't disrespect me, bitch?"

"As Emiko and Elias go back and forth, Akira notices something on Mr.Strout's belt.

"Hey, that's the level three dagger me and the rest of class one found in the sea cave! Why do you have it?"

"Damn it," Mr.Strout says in his head.

Emiko and Eldrick look at the belt of Mr.Strout and also see the dagger.

"She's right, that should be back at Grava Academy," Emiko screams.

"Mr.Strout you found the level three dagger; are you planning on using it to help me defeat Paul?"

As Mr.Strout gets bombarded with questions, he starts to think to himself.

"Wait a minute, who gives a fuck anymore about my cover? I already have this dagger in hand!"

Mr.Strout passes by Elias and starts smiling menacingly.

"I stole this dagger from the office of Nixion so I could deliver it to some special people. Now why don't you little kids fuck out of an adult's business?"

"Wait a minute, you're working for whoever is attacking the city right now, aren't you?" Emiko asks.

Mr.Strout starts to chuckle a little before answering Emiko.

"Yes, of course, dumb girl, what else would that mean?"

"Wait, what?" Elias exclaims.

"Don't worry, my dear Elias; you will understand soon enough."

Mr.Strout turns his attention back to the two girls.

"Considering you all are out here right now, I'm guessing a group was sent to go look for this dagger I have in my position."

"Wait, that's Jason's group," Akira says with a worried expression.

"Well, before I left, I decided to leave a little present for them, assuming they make it there before it blows."

Akira looks over to Mr.Strout with a confused expression.

"What are you talking about?"

"Well, as you know, everything within Grava Acadamy gets its energy from the large bundle of geogalatic it has in its core."

A geogalatic is a powerful rock that holds large amounts of energy within it. One of these rocks could keep the world's energy supply going for a decade straight.

"And as I'm sure you also know, the geogalatic has to be constantly stabilized. Now let's just say..."

Mr.Strout starts to chuckle uncontrollably.

"Sorry, sorry, I can't even get the words out correctly. Now, let's say you were to destabilize the geogalatic. What would happen? Well, it's simple, really..."

As Mr.Strout speaks, everyone in Grava City hears and feels a large explosion coming from Grava Acadamy.

"Everything would go boom!" Mr.Strout exclaims with a smile.

As Akira looks over at the white explosion coming from Grava Acadamy that stretches to the stratosphere, her mind starts racing.

"Jason, Jess, and Allen are over there right now, and not only that, but there's no way anyone near that area could survive that explosion! This means Grava Acadamy has been completely destroyed with all of them!"

Akira's face turns to despair as Mr.Strout laughs in the background.

"No"
