Power Theory
Cyrus flies up to avoid the icy mist left on the ground, but then he is met with multiple ice spears raining down from every level of the castle and the surrounding ice towers.
"What an interesting use of such a power," Cyrus remarks as he watches the ice spears rain toward him.
As the ice spears rain toward Cyrus, they instantly melt before they even touch him.
At the top of the ice castle, Seth is standing on top with his hair flowing in the wind and his chain dangling off his neck.
"Are they melting? How is that even possible my ice shouldn't melt unless it's by my command or until I run out of OGI so what is this bastard doing?" Seth questions as he looks down below.
As ice spears melt around him, Cyrus looks to the top of the ice castle and notices Seth.
"Ego!" Cyrus yells in a commanding tone.
Ego, who is currently fighting Mr.Mink lands on top of a pile of rubble and looks toward Cyrus.
"We are done here. you can play with that man another time we are leaving. You as well Killer leave that boy alone and grab Nisugi out of that quicksand," Cyrus commands as a bunch of men made out of ice pounce on him from the ice castle.
"Let's see how you deal with this!" Seth exclaims.
The icemen instantly melt when they get in the same vicinity as Cyrus.
"Ok, so nothing works against this bastard Great to know. I got to lay on more pressure!" Seth thinks to himself as he waves his left arm.
"Also, Ego, make sure you go grab Elias from the ice; we wouldn't want to disrespect Strout now, would we?" Cyrus says in a casual tone.
Every ice tower in the vicinity suddenly rises and gets sent flying at Cyrus.
"Yeah, alright, boss, but are you sure you don't want me to kill that kid? He seems extremely focused on getting that dagger from you," Ego asks in a playful tone.
Mr.Mink who has been in combat with Ego, lands on the ground in front of him.
"These guys are trying to leave now? After all the shit they have done? No! This is actually good; we have already been pushed to our limits. If more fighting happened beyond this point, then we would all be dead," Mr.Mink thinks to himself.
Mr.Mink looks around him and sees Kage, Alexander, Jason, and Unknown exhausted across the battlefield.
"The only problem right now is Seth; he won't last long against Cyrus Blackwood!"
While Mr.Mink watches from afar, Cyrus flies up to avoid the many ice towers.
"Ego, do not worry about me; just follow orders..."
"Ok!" Ego exclaims excitedly as he vanishes.
Killer also goes to get Nisugi out of the quicksand she's stuck in.
"Is this guy still ignoring me? This is so annoying; he's worse than that upper-class fake!" Seth yells in an annoyed tone.
With all his attacks failing, Seth begins to form an ice shard between his index finger and middle finger. Then Seth aims it at Cyrus, who is just floating below him.
"Cyro—"
Suddenly, within the blink of an eye, Cyrus vanishes from Seth's sight.
"Wh—"
"Plus this should only take 30 seconds," Cyrus remarks as he appears behind Seth.
"I didn't even sense him move!" Seth screams in his head.
Seth quickly jumps forward and turns around toward Cyrus.
"Cryo freeze!"
Seth blasts a negative-degree beam of ice at Cyrus.
"You should have stayed down; now you can't turn back," Cyrus says with a cold glare.
Cyrus smacks the beam of ice with the back of his hand, sending it to the sky.
"Did he just smack a beam of ice? How?" Seth shouts.
Cyrus stomps on the top of the ice castle with one foot causing the entire castle to fall apart.
"Shit the castle!" Seth screams as he falls back to the ground.
"Tell me now, was fighting for this dagger and friends truly worth it?" Cyrus asks as he appears over Seth.
"If you spend your entire life fighting for nothing, then what's the point of fighting?" Seth states in a cocky tone.
After hearing Seth's statement, Cyrus smiles.
"Ha! How right you are! You know, I thought you were just a foolish schoolboy who wanted to have the spotlight. Who could have known I would find you so amusing?" Cyrus says in a cheery tone.
"Am I supposed to take that as a compliment or something?" Seth inquires with an annoyed expression.
"Hmm, tell me what's your name boy?" Cyrus asks with an interested expression.
"Hmph names Seth son of the richest man on the planet Ronald," Seth responds.
"Oh how intriguing tell you what if you lay down and let us both go on with our lives I'll spare you this one time," Cyrus offers.
"Yeah, I'll gladly do that once you drop that dagger me and my friends worked so hard to get," Seth answers in a serious tone.
When Cyrus hears Seth's response he tilts his head.
"That's too bad," Cyrus says as he lifts his hand.
"Yeah, it is!" Seth screams as his body turns to ice.
Suddenly Seth jumps out of the ice behind Cyrus with his left hand glowing a bright blue.
"I see the Seth I was talking to was one of those icemen that made itself look like him. Then you hid yourself in ice to charge up whatever attack is in your hand. It's a good tactic," Cyrus thinks to himself.
With Cyrus turning around, Seth rushes at him.
"This is all I've got! Every last ounce! I charged my hand with every last bit of OGI I had left in the tank! This is it; if I can't at least immobilize him with this it's over! I will get that dagger back no matter what even if it kills me!" Seth screams as the glow in his hand gets brighter and bigger.
As Nixion has stated before, the power theory is a theory that when someone wants something so bad that they'll become a whole different person to get it, they'll unlock years of untapped potential, but on this day Seth unlocked infinite potential.
Seth jumps up while pulling his left arm all the way back.
"I'll never be held down by my own insecurities ever again, and that's because of you, Kage! So this one right here is dedicated to you!" Seth shouts in his head with a ferocious look on his face.
The glow in Seth's hand grows even brighter, and instantly Seth stuffs the blue light into his mouth.
"Let's see what you'll show me, Seth," Cyrus remarks as he stands still.
Seth pulls his head as far back as he can as he inhales.
"Ice manipulation! Ice cannon!" Seth shouts from the depths of his soul.
A giant dragon made out of ice shoots out of Seth's mouth and smacks Cyrus, drags him through the ground, flies him upward, and then slams him back down to the ground.
"Roar!"
As Seth roars, the ice dragon blows up and freezes a huge portion of the area while leaving a spiky ice tower.
Seth lands on the ground, breathing heavily.
"That was everything for you, bastard," Seth says as he shakes back and forth from exhaustion.
"What an impressive attack! Did you come up with it on the spot?"
"No!"
A part of the icy tower Seth left with his attack breaks, leaving a hole, and out of that hole, Cyrus casually walks out.
"It was a nice move, Seth, but unfortunately I was your opponent.
"Yo—"
Seth begins to fall to his knees, but Mr.Mink appears next to him and catches him.
"It's ok, Seth; he was way above your level. just be glad to still be alive," Mr.Mink says with an encouraging tone.
"But the dagger," Seth says in a defeated tone.
"Don't worry; he will handle it from here," Mr.Mink remarks as Nixion comes down from the sky and slams down onto the battle.
"Enough of your damn games, Cyrus. I will break every bone in your body and make you answer my question," Nixion says in a calm tone.
"Oh, teach there you are! Did you beat Solomon already?" Cyrus exclaims.
"Nope, I decided to retreat, but damn, he hits as hard as always. That mastered OGi control isn't a joke. when is it my turn to use it," Solomon says as he walks out of a portal with a few bruises.
Solomon walks up next to Cyrus with a smile on his face.
"Solomon, it is time we leave. Bring out your robots," Cyrus orders as he sees Nisugi and Killer running over to them.
"Oh, finally my babies get to show off!" Solomon shouts with an excited expression.
Solomon digs into his pocket and throws hundreds of small metal pieces into the sky. From the metal pieces, a bunch of the same augmented cyborgs Exploiter ran into when she invaded the L.T.O. base appear.
"Ok, Seth, time to get you out of here," Mr.Mink says as he vanishes with Seth.
A far distance from Cyrus and Nixion Kage, Unknown, Jason, and Alexander are sitting in a circle.
"I can't believe Mr.Mink just grabbed us and took us this far from the battle. He said he would be right back, but it's been like five minutes," Kage yells impatiently.
"Damn do all broke people act so childish?" Alexander asks in a mocking tone.
"Hey, who are you calling broke!" Kage exclaims with an offended tone.
"Calm down, Kage! What we should really be worried about is Seth!" Unknown says with a worried tone.
"Yeah, Unknown is right. Seth is going against a guy who made all of us stop breathing with a simple glare," Jason adds.
Suddenly Mr.Mink and Seth appear behind the group of boys.
"Seth!" everyone screams in relief.
Mr.Mink gives Seth to Unknown and Kage who help him onto his feet.
"Get Seth to Doc immediately! I'm sure he's at the Grava Academy stadium, but remember the ice on Seth's chest is keeping him alive, so be careful! Now get out of here!" Mr.Mink instructs with a serious tone.
Mr.Mink turns around and prepares to go back to Nixion.
"Wait, Mr.Mink where are you going?" Unknown inquires with a curious tone.
"The battle isn't over yet, and I left Nixion to fight on his own. Just hurry up and get Seth to Doc," Mr.Mink commands as he vanishes.
"Well, you heard him let's get moving already," Alexander says as he begins to walk to the stadium.
Jason also begins to walk to the stadium.
"I'm sorry for losing the dagger," Seth mutters as Kage and Unknown help him walk to the stadium.
"Aye don't worry about it I'm sure Mr.Mink and Principal Nixion will get it back for sure," Unknown says in a positive tone.
"Yeah right! I told you to haul ass but you were too slow!" Kage remarks.
"Yeah you're right," Seth mutters in a tired tone as his pupils dilate.
"Ha! Didn't think you would actually admit it thought you would make some lame excuse! Well, I'm happy you're alive dude," Kage says with a smirk.
Suddenly the ice surrounding Kage's right hand and Unknown's right rib melts.
"Oh, it melted," Kage says as he looks at his skinless hand.
"The ice Seth used to stop our bleeding melted."
As Unknown says these words, he remembers something Seth said to him in their battle against Killer.
"I'm using my ice to stop your bleeding; it's not going to last forever and might be a little unhealthy, but at least it will last until we get you to someone like Doc," Seth says with a confident tone.
"Wait, won't it melt?"
"No, as long as I still have OGI in the tank, the ice should stay frozen."
After remembering Seth's words, he thinks back to what Mr.Mink just said.
"Remember the ice on Seth's chest is keeping him alive, so be careful!"
"No!"
Unknown looks at Seth's chest and sees the ice has melted, causing blood to spill out like a waterfall.
"Seth!"
Seth falls from Kage and Unknown's shoulders to the ground, where his back touches the ground.
Seth's blood starts to fill the ground as he chokes. Seth looks around as everyone rushes to aid him with an empty expression on his face.
"I guess I really did give it everything I got."
