I was amazed when I enter the blacksmith's workplace. The room was big, with a lit furnace attached on the left wall. In the middle of the room were an anvil, a spinning vise on the ground next to the furnace and the remaining space were occupied by iron bars and other kinds of metal required for forging items as well as othee items.
"Watch closely boy, I'll show how its done. Call me blacksmith John by the way."
John said while laughing lightly. He first when to the bars and picked five iron bars.
Throwing all five iron bars into the lit furnace, he pressed his palm on the upper part of the furnace.
With the help of my high elf sense, I was able to feel the flow of mana from John's palm to the lit furnace making the fire even hotter that before.
As the fire began to heat more, the heating of the bars went faster than before.
A few more minutes of injecting his mana, all five iron bars glowed in reddish yellow.
He took a mettalic long tong from the side of the furnace, using it to take out all five molten iron bar out of the furnace.
Putting all molten bars into the flat top of the anvil, he began his hammering.
Clank! Clank!
Sounds of metal vibrated in the room as John starting hitting the molten iron bars one by one into a flat shape by hitting them vigorously with his hammer.
A few more minutes after he started, a blue panel appeared above the anvil as soon as John stops hitting the bars with his hammer.
[Generate:
Item Type:Sword
Tier 1
Success Rate:98%]
Clicking on the generate button, all the flatten reddish yelow flatten iron bar began assemling itslef, taking a form of a white sword.
Taking the iron sword on top of the anvil, he swing the sword for a few more times as sharp cutting can be heard.
"Good, did you see everything?"
John asked me after he was satisfied with swinging his sword.
Nodding at him, I said. "Yes, I saw everything, is there anymore I should know?"
"Well yes, you should know about the associations that concentrate on sub-classes and other class. The Forger's Association, focuses on blacksmithing. The Association itself has many blacksmith on them. On top of that, they also sell many forging designs. The Miner's Association focuses on the sub-class, Miner. They own many mines that produces ores that we, blacksmith's need. The Alchemist Association, focuses on the sub-class, Alchemist. They create potions and pills that can be used for healing, cures and other stuff that requires potions and pills. They also sells many potions and pills recipes. The Herbalist Association, produces herbs that are needed for alchemy. They also sells herbs. The Mages Association are focused mainly on magic research. They sell many spells, magic scrolls, and any magic related items. The Weapon Association are focused on weapon classes such as Swordman, Speaman, Archer ,Magic Gunman, Berserker, Executioner, Scytheman, Tank and Assasin. They sell many skill related to those classes and provide training as well. Any more questions?"
It took me for a few more minutes to respond as I tried to process all the information I just heard.
"Yes, what are forging designs and recipes?"
I asked in a curios tone as those things got me interested the most.
"Forging designs are used by blacksmith's of course. These designs will give us the appropriate information for the items we are going to forge. Naturally, using a forging designs increased the succes rate of succes in forging. Recipes for potions and pills works the same as well."
Knock! Knock!
As we are still talking to each other, a knock on the mettalic door was heard.
"Seems like I got some customers. I will give you a quests and a forging designs. You can use those iron bars there as well."
John as he throw a piece of paper towards me before dissappearing behind the mettalic door to accepts his costumers.
Looking at the piece of paper, a panel appeared in front of me.
[You have acquired a forging designs for Iron Swords:Do you want to absorb it? Y/N[
Clicking the Y on the buttton, the piece of paper dissappeared as informations on how to forge the Iron Sword were inserted in my mind.
As for the Quests...
[You have received a quest.]
[Quest: Path towards Blacksmithing.
Quest 1: Forge 1 Iron Sword. Rewards: 100 Exp and a iron hammer.
Quest 2: Forge 10 Iron Sword. Rewards: 1000 Exp and the sub-class, Blacksmith.]
Walking towards the stacks of iron bars, I summoned my Cube of Creation. Holding one iron bar, I tried to use its ability:Copy.
Then a panel appeared above the Cube of Creation.
[Do you want to copy this iron bar by 1000x? Y/N]
Clicking the Y, I instantly recieved 1000 iron bars into my [Inventory].
Looking at the hammer used by John, I also tried to use Copy on it.
[Do you want to copy Enhanced Hammer 1x? Y/N]
Clicking on Y, I instantly recieved the copied hammer used by John. The best thing is that I can copy the original items and not being a replica of it.
Thinking of this, I just thought of something. If I can copy the gold coins in my [Inventory], wouldn't that mean I have unlimited money? Just by that thought alone excite me. After all, even if I failed forging an item no matter how expensive it is, I wouldn't run out of materials for it as long as I copy them first.
--Five Hours Later--
John entered the workplace to see me slumped in the floor full of sweate while breathing hard.
Yes, I was tired after a continuous five hours of hammering.
Looking at the 27 pieces of Iron Sword on the ground, he smiled.
"Good job boy, now you have become a Basic Blacksmith. "
He said in a smile as he congratulate me.
"Oh and if you check on your status screen and click on the Blacksmith on the sub-class section, you should be able to see someting like 27/1000. Once you have achieved 1000, your Blacksmith class will advance to Advance Blacksmith. The 27/1000 is your proficiency points."
He added, just like he said, there was 27/1000 appeared when I pressed the Blacksmith.
Additionally, for every one iron sword I forged, I would receive 100 Exp.
Handing a potion with yellow color to me, I drank it immediately restoring all my stamina.
Waving my hands slightly, I casted Cleanse on the whole room.
Bidding goodbye to John, I made my way to Forger's Association.
