Contest Of Strength

After exiting the Engineer Association, I made my way to the Adventurer's Association. It didn't take me long as the Adventurer's Association was near.

'Game System, is there any way for me to temporarily disable my status as a Royalty?'

I ask as I don't want Natives should I call them Npcs, to detect my status as a Royalty, if other players were to know this, I am doomed.

[No there is now way, but you can make it so that others won't be able to know your status. But people under you rule or who bears the same status as you will be able to detect you.]

'Good, disable it please.'

[Done.]

The Adventurer's Association was way bigger in the Capital, unlike the one in the town that has a moderate size.

As i enter the huge building, I was met with a sight of many adventurers looking for quests and talking to their parties.

I approached one of the receptionist, a woman in her twenties. She had a light blue eyes and hair. The most striking features of her was her big breasts that seem would burst out of her cloth.

Bigger that Luna,Mia and Julliane but a little smaller compared to Titania.

'I'm pretty sure a lot of adventures go to her instead of the others.'

I thought as I look at the other three more receptionist behind their desk.

"Welcome to the Adventurer's Association. This is my first time meeting you, or at least I think. I am Silvia. May I know if you are an Adventurer or going to join?"

Her voice was alluring, if not for me listening to Titania's voice every day for a month, I would have been dazed by how beautiful her voice was.

Quickly taking out my Adventurer's card, I handed it to her. Looking at my card, an astonished face quickly replaced her smiling face.

"Y-youre a B-rank!?"

She accidentally raised her voice while talking, quickly attracting every adventurer's interest.

"Yes, that's-"

"Huh!!?? You're a B-rank?? Aren't you a little to young for that?"

As I was about to finish my sentence, a loud voice interrupted me. Looking at the direction the voice came from, I saw five man, each holding a two axes.

The one who interrupted me was probably their leader, as the other four walk behind him.

"Yes, that's right, do you have any problem?"

I ask him as he approached me.

The leader, slashed one of his axe at me, stopping a few inches away from my neck which I made no attempt in dodging or retaliating as I have already saw the trajectory of his attack.

"Bert!!"

The receptionist, Silvia shouted at the man named Bert.

"Shut up Silvia, I am talking to the kid here. He's just probably tricking you. And I refuse to believe a young kid can become a B-rank at his age."

Bert, slashed his other axe and stopping once the blade is near my neck.

Other adventurers was looking at us as if they had found an interesting show to watch as they gossip with each other.

"Boy, fight me. If you can reduce my HP down to 10%, I will acknowledge you as a B-rank adventurer. But if you lose, leave and no longer show yourself."

Suddenly, my hand blurred as Bert's axes dissappeared from his arm and re-appeared on both my hands.

"!"

Bert, Silvia and all people inside the Adventurer's Association who was watching us, was shocked at my speed.

"Y-you!"

Bert's shocked voice stuttered as he look at me in shock.

"Did you see that? That was fast!"

"I wasn't able to see anything at all. All I saw was the boys' hand blurred and that's all."

Every one gossiped with each other.

"I accept. But with a bet."

I said as I throw back the axes back to Bert.

"A bet? Sure, what are you gonna bet little kid?"

Bert said with a sneer as he smirked at me.

"Mr. Kreo, I don't think fighting Bert here is a good idea. This man is very strong."

Silvia, who was watching our conversation, hastily tried to stop me.

"Silvia right? Don't worry, I won't fight if I know my enemy is stronger than me. I bet 1,000 gold coins. Is that acceptable?"

I re assured Silvia, who still look hesitant about my decision.

Bert and his group had a greedy smile in their face as they heard my bet.

Not just them, but also the other adventurers had a surprised look at their face specially players.

"A thousand gold? Alright. I will bet this."

Bert said as he took out a black ring with golden runes and a black paper with golden symbols. Looking at it, I was able to read unknown symbols like before. A greedy smile appeared on my face as I took a glimpse at the paper's content.

'Poor Bert, only if you know that the thing you're betting is a growth-type treasure. It can increase stats and even luck! My luck is very good for the past few days it seems.'

As I was wearing a full body armor covering even my head just showing my eyes, no one was able to see my reaction.

"Alright I accept. Let's fight now."

Unable to hide my excitement, I hurredly took out a thousand gold coins and place them in front of Silvia. Seeing my action, Bert did the same thing.

Every one inside the Adventurer's Association went farther away from the middle, the place were we are going to fight.
