Kreo said as he scratched the back of his head, unable to comprehend whether the beast chasing the young man is a beast, a monster or a hybrid.

Furthermore, he can not remember anything like it mentioned in the book he had read.

What's worse is Kreo just realised that the hybrid had a tail of a scorpion, his lips twitched.

" The fuck? Body of a wolf, legs of an eagle, head of a snake and a scorpion tail? "

He spat, before using his right foot to tap on tree's body before propelling downward himself towards the running man.

Effortlessly, he dived through leaves and branches as he came closer towards the hybrid beasts.

His hands, like claws peirced through it head, though he was met with a little bit of resistance.

Once dead, it gave him 1,300 Exp, and dropped only one item.

It was a small blue pearl, small as it was the mana inside it was incredibly huge, making Kreo wondered how a small device could handle that much.

Picking it up, the pearl was at the same size as his thumb, it shones brightly as the rays of sun met its body.

" U-umm... "

Kreo glanced at the purple haired who just spoke hesitantly.

" Can... can I buy the Mana Pearl in your hand? "

He spoke once again, using the courage he muttered.

" No. "

Just one word from Kreo made the man fall into despair.

He begged as be bowed 90 degree, his hands clasped together as he clenched them tightly.

Looking at the way he beg, Kreo decided to sell it.

He said, his excitement reached peak as he hurriedly raised his head towards Kreo.

" I am very thankful for letting me buy this Mana Pearl from you, I seemed to have forgotten to introduce myself. I am the first son and the heir of the Hesta Family, Van Hesta. If you ever need help in the future, feel free to ask for my help as long as it is nothing unreasonable. "

He said as he took out a purple scroll to which Kreo recognised, Return Scroll. Just like it's name, it can be used to return to a marked place, though it can be stopped and need over 5 seconds of activation.

" As a young master and a heir at that, you sure are humble....or is it because of the near death experience just now? "

He mumbled as he was quite surprised after knowing the man in front of him was humble and not arrogant.

As soon as Van dissappeared, Kreo returned back to hunting powerful beasts.

Just like this, seven days have passed. Not much have happened, much to Kreo's boredom.

During these seven days, he had reached Rank 189, the same for Luna and Mia. He had also acquired two new beast for Mia, one is called Gale Thunder Bird and a two tailed Blood Fox.

Right now, he and whole Endless Guild were at the top of the huge tree, preparing to leave the Gloom Forest, their destination was the nearest Town to register their guild, BlackLake Town.

The base they used for those seven days were the top of the huge tree where the wyvern lives.

An Assasin contacted him through the Guild Chat, informing him about two possible criminals, Kreo just told him to keep watch and send him his coordination.

With the coordination on his map, Kreo used 『Teleport』, shocked to see who the two npc's were.

It was none other than Van Hesta, on his hands were a woman soaked in blood. Upon closer look, there were no wounds on the woman's body.

In fact, the blood came from Van, who had a cut on his chest. How he managed to run to Gloom Forest with a bleeding wound and a woman in his arms? Who knows.

Van, seeing that Kreo had no reaction, thought that the latter might be doubting him.

In front of Kreo were a long black sword with golden cracks.

Seeing this display, Van felt afraid. More than ever, even when he was about to be killed the abomination.

Cold sweat filled his back as he stepped back, only to no longer feel the portal that he was planning to use just to run away.

' Heh, he looks scared. '

I thought as I smiled inwardly, liking the sight of Van cowering in fear.

' I wonder what is his relationship with her. '

I wondered as I look at the woman in his arms, she was quite beautiful to be honest. A beautiful face, a fairly shaped body, her bust and butt were not too big nor too small, her long blue hair tied into two twin tails.

What worry me the most was not the wound on Van's chest, but the woman. Her face was visibly pale, her breathing was slow, very slow that if I were to stop her breath for a moment, she would instantly suffocate due to the lack of air.

" Heal. "

I uttered those words as a white magic circle appeared, acting as a ring on Van's body. From white magic circle, a white light escape, covering his wounds as it close visible to the naked eye.

His expression was relief, as he felt his body returned to it's peak.

" Tha- "

" Tell me who she is and why are you wounded. "

Before he could finish his words of gratitude, I intervened and ask what was on my mind.

Even though shocked at my intervention, he recovered quickly. A gentle smile formed in his face as he looked at the woman sleeping in his arms.

" She is Grace, my fiancee and my childhood friend, "

From his words, I instantly recognised her as a commoner of this world.

" Ever since I was a kid, she had always been at my side, as a friend and a maid... "

It took a whole twenty minutes for Van to finish the talk about his background, which I found boring. Nevertheless, I endured the boredom and continued listening.

Anyways, just like those cliche plot in wuxia novels, she was just a normal maid till she awaken her bloodline, an incredibly powerful and rare one at that.

Since she was already engaged at him on that time as his family already learned about Grace's bloodline, she was given a wish.

And that was to be his, Van's wife or even just a concubine as they were already in love with each other at that time.

This engagment aroused suspicion from other families, leading them to start investigation.

Though the Hesta Family was able to hide for a few months, in the end they were unable to hide due to barrage of families trying to uncover the truth behind the engagement.

In the end, they managed to find the reason, and so greed took them, making them send their own young heirs to compete for her, Grace's heart.

But Grace's heart by now belong only to Van, making their heirs unable to compete, leaving them devastated.

But as shrewd and greedy they were, they thought that Grace was too, like them who only cared about riches, so they began offering her with enticing offers, one that even the Hesta Family would droll for.

Van, frustrated that even his family almost gave her up to other families, went to Gloom Forest to search for a chimera, a type of beast made from merging three or more beasts and monsters.

Naturally, looking for one wasn't easy as it took him several days wandering at the heart of Gloom Forest, but when he found one he was already at a bad situation as his supplies of pills, potions and food ran out.

It was then the only option he had was to run away, leading him to me, where I had helped Van a week ago.

After buying the Mana Pearl from me, Van went home as soon as possible and presented the Mana Pearl to Grace as his gift for her, which at the same time was now known to other families.

With the Mana Pearl on her hand, Grace herself wanted to explore a dungeon, to which Van happily accepted.

Once again, as if the wind has ears, the other families too decided to sent their heirs to the dungeon the two of them were going to explore, not to impress Grace of their abilities but to much more sinister plan.
