Astral's Rise Part 42: The Training Room

"I am going to the training room to work on some programming. Also feel like working out a little bit." Astral would state as

"Ooh, I'll come with you!" Shiro and Jaimie spoke at the same time as he was walking out the door, waving his hands for them to follow. The three would race down the hyperlane as they got to the training room.

Shiro would sit in the observation room looking inward and programming holographic enemies from Astral's journey using his drones that recorded the battle tournament. Jaimie would stand next to him as Astral would look around the walls.

Changing the scenery at will. Both of them felt like they were being watched. Astral would keep messing with the settings of the room testing the effects of each biome, Jaimie would be messing around with the different types of enemies being programmed and working on the scaling of the different enemies as well as making sure the holograms will not kill anyone by accident.

The two of them would be separated by the room. Not by their doing though. Astral saw another person inputting controls outside of those three.

"Oh very funny Adam, nice prank." Astral would look into the system log deeper and realize there was no codename for the person who made this command. He looked over to Jaimie as she was swarmed by three Mimic's.

She pulled out her armor as it summoned to her as she fired herself up into combat mode. Using Astral's golden shield and spear as Astral rushes over being stopped by two Titan holograms. He looked up and saw a weird looking figure on the ceiling. "Shiro! Set difficulty to zero!" Astral yelled as he took on the two Titans. Astral pushed them backwards to where Jaimie stood.

He believed in her to deal with the five of them. He needed to focus on the shadow. Flying upwards and grabbing onto the shadow and slamming him into the ground, the room became its normal gray self.

Shiro had control of the room once more, making sure nothing went wrong. She watched as Astral threw the shadow around like a ragdoll. She watched Jaimie as there was a five versus one. Interested in the scale of it all.

Jaimie cleaved through the enemies before her. The five holograms all glew with a radiating energy of weakness. Jaimie swung her spear through the first of the Mimic holograms as it would shatter into dust.

The other four holograms all watched before moving in one by one, after each of their attacks they backed up behind the others. Jaimie mainly focused on the ability of reading these attacks.

Each one of these punches felt simple. She held her hand out and adjusted the slider up one notch. The four holograms then got it rallied together and synchronized their attacks against her. She was able to deflect each blow with precision. Shattering three of the holograms in one swing.

One hologram remained. Jaimie looked up at Titan and paused it, she looked at her opponent and turned the dial up by just the slightest bit. Unpausing the hologram it felt too fast. Jaimie struggled as Titan beat down on her and the shield she held up in defense.

It clicked for her, Titan is comparable to Astral; she is as well. Swinging the spear downward through the hologram it faded away. Jaimie saw the shadow hit the floor. Going over to help Astral out.

Astral would throw his sword into the shadow pinning it to the floor as he floated down. Him and Jaimie would tower over it as Shiro stayed far back. "What are you?" Astral would reach his hand out and hold down the creature.

It felt cold like Mimic. Astral fought off his instinct of reeling back as he reaches out and grabs Jaimie's thigh. Her soul felt warm, and full of love. He felt the difference and would see it squeaming in place, wanting to escape. "Answer my questions and I will let you go." The head of it would nod in approval.

"You are a being of antimatter right?" Jaimie asked as Astral looked up to her in confusion. The creature would nod its head in approval.

"Wait, you are an opposite material of who? Is it us that you parallel?" Astral asked as the creature nodded. Jaimie and Astral looked at each other in concern. But it clicked for Shiro who echoed on the intercom.

"Wait, does that mean there is one of you that rivals Astral, and the rest of you extending back infinitely?" Shiro figured it out as Astral and Jaimie got worried. The creature nodded in agreement. "What makes Astral special is his ability to drive off that voice in Overlord?" The creature got anxious at the sound of its master before turning into smoke.

It couldn't give any more information. Overlord seemingly plucked him to protect himself more. He wanted to keep his secrets close to his chest. The less that Astral and the rest knew, the better.

The stress from the creature caused it to slip away, Astral and Jaimie watched as the smoke faded. They wondered and saw the facts before them. This parasite is going to be a thorn in the side of them forever.

Astral and Jaimie looked up to Shiro as she blinked down there. "In Theory. Every Astral gets corrupted and feeds into Overlord. Each with their own ability." She would pull out a diagram. "Due to each of you having two abilities thanks to Astral being pure with his intentions, it's creating an equal negative to balance him out."

"So does that mean with the infinite amount of time backwards that if we go forward that we will eventually have alot of pure Astral's?" Jaimie would hold onto Astrals hand.

"Yes?" Astral spoke, speculating it. "If you follow my teachings and meditations it's hard to be corrupted. In that case. If in the next universe cycle we skipped over the Astral, they could become a creature like that."
